First Breakfast (I.D. says Flynn Lambert)
[ Flynn is rubbing his eyes as he finishes centring the camera to face him. He smiles though when he's done. ] Uh. Hey. Um, I've never been in a club with a personal network before. I guess it's pretty cool, right?
Anyway, I guess I should... um actually introduce myself. My name is Flynn. I come from my world's Albuquerque, kinda my whole life, so Florida's kind of a move, even without the, uh... Porter?
I'm eighteen, and I got a job at uh Puppytown Petting Pound as an Assistant Manager. Zero experience, so that's kinda nuts. Mom taught me how to run a car wash, a little, so I guess I'll figure it out. [ He is... not in the least bit sure if he'll be able to figure it out. ] And you can't go wrong with puppies, I guess.
Also! Um, if anyone has tips on how to fly... well, I already got crutches, but I kinda don't wanna break my legs anyway. [ It's the principal of the thing? ]

Jesse knows Walt, Jr. Not personally - because they've never met face-to-face - but thanks to Walt, Sr. He's seen this face in photographs around the White household. Hell, he even remembers all the way back to high school, when kids would joke about Walt's son being "retarded or something". He's known about Walt, Jr. what seems like forever.
But the reverse? Jesse assumes he's a mug shot in a news report. A name in a police file. A person of interest in the case of Junior's missing uncle, and maybe even a suspect in that murder. Jesse just doesn't know. He doesn't know what his face or his name will trigger in Junior's memory.
Or Flynn Lambert's, as he's calling himself now. Which is telling in itself.
But since Flynn dropped the magic "ABQ" word, Jesse can already picture the vultures circling. So here's a warning from Cain to Abel:]
Don't talk to Frederick Chilton.
[ voice // locked ]
But then he looks at the name and Jesse sticks out at him. He's shocked, really. He's half convinced himself that Jesse was just a legend, something his father made up. It doesn't make sense when he examines it, so he errs on the side of Jesse being his dad's Jesse.
And he's not sure what to make of that.
So his voice is sort of shaky when he speaks. ]
Why?
[ voice // locked ]
If he figures out who you really are, he's gonna try and take advantage of it.
He wrote a book. About your dad.
[ voice // locked ]
Flynn is quietly raging, but he's not his dad and isn't going to scream at Jesse about the actions of someone else. If nothing else, the trickery his father engaged in taught him that.
A sound of a deep breath. ]
Do... do you have it? I don't want.. to... buy... it.
They wrote them... at home. [ So he can be trusted? He doesn't even know. ]
[ voice // locked ]
[But he's not surprised to learn they wrote books back home, too. Oh, what a legend Heisenberg must be. A modern Western outlaw. Walt would be so fucking proud of himself.]

Someone his age who seems nice and friendly and who can fly, hello new friend. ]
That's your power?
I can't help you with that, but suffice it to say I'm impressed. That's one I'd like myself. I'm Gansey, by the way. It's good to meet you, Flynn.

That's something else. A friend of mine can do it. I take it they have you staying in Heropa?

Yeah. [ He wants to say precisely where, but he's worried to find his past has followed him here. ] Where are you?

Oh shit.
Shit.
Shiiiiiit.
To name a few.
It takes him a while to think of what the hell he's going to say, and when half an hour has passed and he's still coming up empty, he thinks, screw it. He can wing this. It'll be fine.
He flicks his own camera on and greets Flynn with a smile the kid has certainly never seen before, at least not on Saul's face — soft, warm, and subdued.]
Well, well, well. Look who it is.
video;
'Jesse' was just a name he heard from his father. Maybe out of the mouths of some authorities (though not for long: they had found pretty quickly how little Flynn knew). His mother wasn't going to let him watch television about it and after everything, he'd allowed her that.
He'd met Saul, though. With his face smashed in. Liked him. He's starting to realise that the car accident was probably a lie. Did his dad do that?
He should probably say something. ]
Hey. Uh. Got fixed up.
[ He's so good at this. Yup. Real damn smooth. ]
permavid;
Still, the comment makes him chuckle.]
Sure did. You like? [He gestures at his nose.] Nothin' like gettin' a nose job for free, eh?
[A joke, but all he can think is please don't ask please don't ask please don't ask. Flynn's obviously from After — he isn't even using his father's name, a fact that pretty much says it all.]

[ When your life is absorbed with having to pay for medical expenses (especially when it sends your dad off into becoming a drug kingpin) this is a significant piece of information. ]
Wow. Uh… I mean. For free. [ Did he just insult him? ] It's a good job.
