[ One tap, and then another on the communicator. A couple more to assure it is on and working. After confirmation of his, a dry gulp can almost be heard, which would be weird, considering that, on the other side of the video transmission is a ghost, one whose image makes itself seen on the screen of anyone watching the submission. His pale blue skin would easily make anyone mistake him for some sort of walking corpse, and surprisingly, the answer wasn’t far from that. Tilting his head, making it clear there would be a drop of sweat trickling down his face were he able to produce any, he addresses anyone who may be watching. Behind him, to those spiritually attuned, or for those who are often in touch with the supernatural, they may spot a couple of floating, purple blobs. ]

Um, hello?

[ A third, pointless tap on the device, almost like when you're 100% sure you've saved your game but save it again for good measure. Whim had seen many folks introduce themselves over the network when he went down the existing broadcasts, some very straightforward, some a bit questionable, and some just downright frightening. None of these apply to him, in the slightest, and the way his eyes dart from left to right as he tries to put together his next sentence outright reveals that immediately. So far, this doesn't seem like the safest place to be, so in the end, as hard as it is, it may prove better to introduce himself to the locals he'll be living with rather than just sneak by and keep a low profile. ]

Uh, um. Hi. [ The thought of all the people that will be watching this broadcast hits him once more, and there's a slight pause as a result. ]

M-my name's Whim. [ An awkward pause. ] I'm... going to try and skip along what I know everyone else is asking, to not be so much of a bother, and... and...

[ God, what is he going on about? He needs to wrap this up before he goes and makes more of an idiot of himself. ]

I, um, I was wondering, since there seems to be a big variety of things in this city, if anyone could give me a helping hand in traversing it, if it's not too much of a bother?

[ He was about to mutter a "thank you" to end his broadcast, but with his fidgety hands being the way they are, he drops his communicator, which, before landing, records a rather distressed yell from him, and it hits the ground, conveniently ending the broadcast. ]

Um, yes, actually, now that you mention it.

[ Speaking over voice only is a lot less taxing than being broadcast in video to an entire community, so it becomes easier for Whim to get his thoughts together. ]

Could there be any extremist, foaming-at-the-mouth psychopathic murderous fanatical ghost exorcists around, hypothetically speaking? Oh, and...

[ A small pause. ]

I was wondering if there are any places that stock fresh produce. That's important, too.

[ Did someone say spiritually attuned? Because here you have one very attuned Russian and, frankly, it's going to be his first question to anyone who looks, uh, dead-ish. Maybe a little blunt, but, hey, if the new guy's putting them on video, they probably aren't a secret. ]

What's with them? Not much, truth be told. People use them to differentiate ghosts from people, but they don't have much use beyond being there.

[ There's a very androgynously beautiful robot, who's pink eyes have their heart-shaped centers light right up in show and surprise! He gasps, puts his gloved hands over his mouth, and he has a huge smile on his face. ]

A ghost! Ooo, a ghost! I never thought I'd meet another one, especially not with a human shape!

[ Judging from what was said from the other side of the transmission, it's a ghost right there, but in what looks like a metallic body. It could be a metallic ghost? Who knows, but if Whim has learned one thing in this place so far, is that there are all sorts and kinds with their own stories around. Still, the sudden enthusiasm does catch him a bit off guard.]

Oh, uhm..!

[ He takes a moment to compose himself. ]

Where I'm from, human shaped ghosts are the most common! It's almost weird to think there's someplace else where that's not the norm, to be honest.

[ He scrambles a bit in his head before figuring out what to say next. ]

[ Jyushimatsu stares at the video with intense focus, holding his hands up near his face, but luckily he's not the type to worry for very long -- if at all -- about if it's a bad omen or not to entertain conversation with a ghost.

Still, there's a long few moments of silence while he simply stares, the gears in his mind slowly turning. Then: ]

Oh, got it! [ He leans closer to the screen. ] You mean you need help moving on, right? Is that it?

[ The stare, quite frankly, gets to Whim a bit. What is behind those beady eyes? World domination plans? Stock Market investment ideas? The key behind the meaning to life? The recipe to the Krabby Patty? No, that last one is too unrealistic. Still, he's somewhat confused. ]

[Well, he doesn't fit her usual concept of what a ghost looks like, but that's definitely some kind of Not Alive Dude. So in her wheelhouse!]

[ It's kind of a mess to define, so that's a good way to judge it and leave it be. ]
