[ There's a soft but audible hiss of pain and the rustle of clothing. Apparently he's having trouble with something...? ]

...That's all. [ There's a loud clatter as he apparently tries to turn the communicator off and finds it not amenable to his wishes; he seems to have dropped it. One inaudible curse later, he manages to switch it off. ]

It's all Yokai's fault. There's this machine I was building that he tampered with somehow. I think - I think that's what happened.

I suppose your loss of recall means that you, too, were affected by whatever it did.

At the very least, have an escape route ready or something to defend yourself with.

He likely still has access to all his memories, so he might get it into his head to 'play' with you. Though hopefully he might be less...violent about it. [ More emotionally manipulative, which hurts in a different way, but at least it's not 'attempting to murder small children'. ]
