Right. Okay then. I am not sure where to even begin here. I am not into this wifi tattoo/mental link to the network system they have here. It all seems a bit invasive and I'd rather stick to text for now. But I suppose I can scratch 'get a tattoo' off of my bucket list.

Anyway... kidnapped another universe! I wish I could say this I the first time something like this has happened to me. It sounds insane. Which leads me to my next question... does 'The City' ring a bell to anyone?

It's just. It's been a very long time and all this 'Hero' talk can't be a coincidence. Obviously things are different but... yeah. If anyone does recognize that name, I'd appreciate it.

This will sound like a cliché but... keep calm and carry on. Obviously, I would rather be at home though.

That's the impression I'm getting. I'm surprised these folks recruited so many people, though.

They shouldn't need too many. People who don't want to be here probably shouldn't even be here.

I don't think we have technically been recruited yet. That is what the swearing in ceremony is, I guess. But at least it's a lot friendlier here than I can remember, even with the military.

Here we are, brought here against our wills. Who's to say that rejecting that ceremony is going to work out well for anyone who's been given special abilities by this establishment?

Nah. As much as I'd rather not be involved, I understand the necessity.

Sometimes you have so many problems that your current means of combating them isn't enough. Desperation does crazy things to people.

The name's Kuzan. You can call me that if you want--or, Blue Pheasant. Either one works.

Anyway. As much as I dislike investigation, I should probably ask. That other stuff you were talking about. About being other places before here. I've heard people come here from other worlds entirely. Is that what you meant?

Blue Pheasant? Like the ones that fly into the middle of the reason? [ a little bit of humour ]

Sort of? I thought other worlds and alternate universes were strictly stuff they used in movies and comic books before this happened to me. But no, some of my closest friends back in the City came from a different world.

We pick a color and an animal and it's our codename as an Admiral. I wanted to pick 'Tiger', but nobody thought 'Blue Tiger' made sense for me. [Because he was so incredibly energetic--]

Anyway. So, this whole thing isn't new to you?

Admiral. Does that mean you are with the Navy?

Nope. The Florida and military bit is new, but otherwise... yeah. It really isn't anything new.

Well, least you're a bit grounded in comparison. People seem a lot more put out than you do, from what I've seen.

[Though, everyone seems lively and excited compared to himself--the world's most boring man in existence.]

And, yeah--I'm with the Navy. Not that it matters at the moment.
