I have no experience in dealing out punishments...

though I do know that Ryuuko would much rather be personally involved with the repairs. Not because I think she would find it a much more unwanted punishment, but because it would be a stronger reminder to be careful with the living arrangements we were given.

Money is of no importance to her. She lived on her own as a vagrant for several months; asking her to pay for it would be inconsequential.

Has she ever even made a cabinet before? This isn't just something you can shoddily put together in half an hour. If the damage was something like a hole in a wall, it'd be one thing, but a poorly made cabinet means it'll fall and destroy any dishes inside.

I don't see how this is any different than what you said earlier. You don't know how to build cabinets, and neither does she.

I never said you were incapable of learning, but seeing as I hold money that doesn't belong to me, nor you, I don't feel like it would be a good idea to hand it out for the sake of you learning when I simply just asked for shared funds to help fix something. I'll speak to Ryuko myself when she calms down about this, if this is going to continue on to be a lot more complicated than it needs to be.
