A simple question for you all. What are the good operas in this world, and are some still possible to see? It's been so long since I've seen, even heard, a good opera.

[Better with the tech, still not the best at using it to find exactly what he wants.]

Certainly this world cannot be so drab as to not have any. There's such a lack of theater here, it's terribly disappointing.

Well, opera itself is seen as rather old fashioned these days, but there are opera houses in many major cities- Nonah has a nice one- I believe they're performing one called- Le Comte Ory. But people here are generally more interested in cinemas than theatres.

And you can find recordings of operas- just sound, and with pictures- at some libraries and record stores.

Old fashioned? Terribly unfortunate. Cinema hardly seems the same.

Oh, it has its charms. Unlike the ones in my world, these have color and sound.

There's some skill involved- the films here are far more... flashy.

You know, I've wondered the very same thing! There is a dreadful lack of live theatre in this realm, isn't there? Everyone keeps going on about these "movies" they have instead.

Oh absolutely, it is a shame this world does not seem to appreciate proper theater. Their movies cannot compare, and is by far an experience greatly lacking.

I'm sure they're not without their merits, of course, but nothing quite compares to a live performance. [Has she even actually seen a movie? Nope.] I meant to look into this some time ago, before I got sidetracked by all this war nonsense, so I suppose I must thank you for reminding me!
