If someone were to discover that they possessed an ability that had the potential to endanger the lives of those around them, what sort of options would they be looking at?

Other than resorting to criminal detainment of course, and where learning control is not an option, as it simply doesn't function in a controllable manner.

So essentially what I'm asking is, is it possible to voluntarily arrange for import abilities to be suppressed? Are there any non-permanent options? What sort of side-effects could one expect from undergoing such a process?

You'll have to forgive the lack of details I'm afraid, as they aren't mine to share.

[He's asking for a friend okay. Yeah when's the last time anyone bought that. Still though, it's true.]

Feel free to list any contacts you may have regarding this issue.

Thank you.

Does anyone? Hermann does pretty well taking care of himself.

No, Kitty, I'm not Hermann's White Knight. Spoiler: He's mine.

Which might be why we've never formally met, as he's just now reminding me.

What, you and I, you mean? Hold on, we've never formally met and you know about my sex life? And think it's all right to talk about who I'm 'banging'? I'm VERY not comfortable with that.

Look! Look! I FORGOT we never met, because I see you on the network and Hermann talked to you and, okay, but I talked to Miles and HE told me you were dating Greg, back when he was still pining for the guy and

Wow.

Ok. Yeah. I get where this comes off creepery. But I know you through a mutual friend. Basically. I only know because you were one of the many complicated reasons Miles wasn't with Greg himself, okay? Does that make it less weird???

No. It's actually sort of getting worse.

Well. It'd help if you introduced yourself so that you weren't just some anonymous creep leering about my sex life. Step into the light and become a creep with a name. Then we'll work on getting to know one another.
driftsintobuffetline: (well yeah you could do that)

You know, I'm going to be honest, I feel like Hermann's not going to like me telling you, but I'm going to tell you anyway.

Call me "Newt."

Oh! Oh, yes, I've seen you about. If you're the Newt I'm thinking of. Friends with Miles, then?

Friends with Miles, yep.

Have you SEEN Hermann?
Have you seen MILES?

How could I resist saying hi?

But their personalities are completely different.

Well, yeah, but it was a phenomenon I couldn't resist looking into. That was the first instance I'd encountered of someone looking EXACTLY LIKE someone else, but from two very different universes and I had to find out if they were similar at a genetic level.

Now that Peter guy's shown up and idk. The newness has worn off. Plus he seems like kind of an asshole, but we knew there had to be at least one of those in the bunch, right? Then again, they're all kind of assholes of varying degrees.

Hold on now!! Miles is lovely. I adore him with all my heart. Don't call him an arsehole.

Cute.
For the record, I called Hermann an asshole, too, and trust me, "adore him with all my heart" doesn't begin to cover my feelings for him. Miles is just the nicer of the three assholes involved here, mostly because he's undeniably charming and very teasing.

Right, well, first, I think we need to determine what exactly we mean by 'arsehole.' I tend to think of an arsehole as someone with a disregard for others' feelings. Which...Well, no, Miles actually does quite have that, doesn't he.
