Hello again friends. Today I come to you with a question: When you arrived in this world, did you leave anything behind in your home universe? Anything precious, or vital to your well being? Perhaps something that is hard to find, or simply does not exist in this world. ...Yet?
[As Revan speaks, he moves between a row of strange machines: devices with spindly, segmented, almost spider like legs that work tirelessly on assembling something in the background.]
ImPorts are a varied and diverse group of people who hail from a multitude of exotic locations, with cultures that might appear completely alien to some. While this world we reside now is wonderful and accommodating, and our hosts do everything in their power to satisfy out needs, I know from experience that sometimes what it can offer comes up short. And as such it often times lacks ideas or resources to provide all that ImPorts need to be happy.
Many of you know me as Ambassador of Maurtia Falls, but today I'm leaving the politics aside, and I wish to discuss with you my personal business: Malachor Industries. A project of mine that has the means to fabricate or replicate just about anything within reason.
All I need is the design, and if the core elements needed to create it exist on this plane, I can bring it back to you. Or perhaps you need something that not even your world could provide, but hope may yet live that it can be created here?
So tell me neighbors, what have you been left without for too long now?

Big Belly Burger.
[Kon, no.]

It's clear on Revan's face that was not expected.]
...Pardon? Is that... a type of food?
no subject
Seriously, why does no one know BBB? It's only the best fast food in the history of ever.

I'm afraid they didn't have that in my universe. At least not to my knowledge. I just don't know of it's appeal. What makes it better than the food of this world?
no subject
It's a big chain where I'm from. Hard question to answer, I guess it's like when you go somewhere nice to eat and they do a steak just like other places, but to you, this place is just better at it. It tastes different, feels different. Just better.
In my opinion any way.
See, I woulda said my my shades, but I don't need 'em here cause I got the powers they gave.

Unfortunately, a food item may seem simple to replicate, but without the recipe, I wouldn't know how to capture the magic you've described.

[And now genuine irritation filters through.] Business has been running smoothly.

Look, what do I know, I just do magic, okay? I'm just saying. Gut says: not a great plan.

[Revan eyes brighten at the remark, betraying his intrigue. But he shakes it away quickly.]
Please, if you feel this way it must be for a good reason. Regardless of your history I would like to hear your reasoning. It's been my experience that that all knowledge is neither good nor evil. It's simply what you do with it that matters.
no subject
Okay, what exactly are you talking about replicating, here?

Though really, there's nothing back home that I can live without here. Except for people, but that's a whole different bundle of ethics.

But Revan sighs at the second mention of Big Belly Burger, but nods.]
I wouldn't mind pitching in if you and those that also had such a craving wanted to work together to resurrect that food here. If only to see what all the fuss is about.
But I understand your feelings. This world would be quite nice if I could share it with... Those important to me.
no subject
At least there's a small smile at the sigh.]
It's definitely tempting. I suppose a lot of people know it because it seems to be a thing in different worlds. It existed in my world and when I fell into another world before this one, it still had a Big Belly Burger so I suspect it's more a comfort thing than anything.
And milkshakes.
This world has good things and bad. Being able to talk to them about people we're used to having around is the kicker.
no subject
[Well, talking about extradimensional hamburgers certainly wasn't how Revan planned to spend his day, but he might as well humor the conversation. If anything the discussion parallel realities was entertaining enough.]
I would hazard a guess that other than a few minute details, those that share this... Restauran, likely are parallel dimensions. While a universe like mine would be independent of such a "mold". Unless of course you also have a Galaxtic Republic of Planets in your universe?
Audio
Hm. Hmm. ] Is there a price for this service?
no subject
If it's a comfort item or something to assist you in your chosen way of life, the price would be modest. Likely enough to cover materials used and time. But if it's just something fun, you'll find my prices more than fair.

I'm in need of additional chocobo barding. I'm neither a leatherworker nor an armorer, and several of the materials I'd need can't be found in this realm, anyway.
Audio
What are we looking at, as far as species and form?
Audio
He came with me through the Portal, so I can bring him in for measurements. He was wearing one set of barding at the time, but it's designed for heavy snows and severe cold and is more of detriment in this climate.

That shouldn't be too challenging. Depending on the equipment. Where do you work?

At the ImPort Cellular Research Center in De Chima. Hiro Hamada did wonders with the computer system about a year ago when I first arrived. But we are using some older and outdated machinery in the lab itself. They do try to cut corners where they can when it comes to cost.
[ Such is the scientific field. Relying on funding and donations and having to cut corners to keep the price lower. ]

[It wasn't so much an instruction as an audible musing. Revan also had some interest in the unique biologies of the various species and subspecies of human that were brought here. But his expertise lay in the technological and spiritual, not the biological. Strange as that may seem.]
...Hmm, let me make you a deal. You give me a list of items that need replacing as you have need. I'll make sure to get them to your team. In return, I'd love to discuss your findings sometime.
Nothing confidential of course. But your work must generate some fascinating results.
no subject
[ And she laughs lightly. She's totally kidding. Right? Right?? ]
Don't ask. I come from a world full of very corrupt governments so my mind immediately jumps down the path of suspicion.
