 So,  I guess a few things recently have gotten me wondering about something.  Just curious, you know?  

[Actually he was a lot more than just curious. But he was trying to be just a little sneaky about this. You know, get the information without admitting to being part-ghost himself.]

How many of you have met ghosts back home? And what were they like?

Um, also one more thing. Anyone know how long you can completely fail at a job before you get fired?  Because I am seriously terrible at mine.

They're total jerks! Also I think you can fail at your job for as long as you want as long as you fail right.

Well it's like how my friend Wendy never does any work at all around the Mystery Shack where she works, but she never gets fired 'cause she does just enough to make it more of a pain to find someone to replace her. Plus she's really really cool which makes up for a lot. [It really doesn't, but productivity numbers have no place in friendship.]

Because they just went and took over my body! And then another time one turned everybody into trees? Rude!

I don't know. It sounds like it would be a lot of work to figure out just how much work to do to not get fired.

Um, does that kind of thing happen a lot?

I think either you have to work at it or you're a natural.

Uhh. Not as much as other stuff? Do you run into ghosts a lot?

I guess. My town back home was pretty haunted, so they tended to show up a lot.

Ooohh. What did you do? Did any of them try to attack you ever?

....I ran away and let the professional ghosthunters handle it. [Danny delivers the lie with a completely deadpan expression. ]

Yeah, that's probably the best thing to do! My brother's the one who knows all about ghost fighting in our family, so I let him do the work.

Yeah? Who is he? Is he a ghost-hunter?

[This was a very important thing to know. ]

His name's Dipper! And he totally is, he has his own MeTube channel full of ghost videos and everything! --or he will, I know he's planning on it.

....What kind of ghost videos?

[Danny was starting to wonder if they were talking about the sae kind of ghost hunter. ]

You know! Videos of creepy places with weird equipment going nuts and scary noises and stuff. Like on TV!

Oh! You mean he's that kind of ghost hunter. The TV kind.
