[The video starts by showing a tired young man, sitting in a rather plain bedroom. His hair's a little messed up, and he's still wearing the clothes he arrived in, a blue coat draped over his usual red suit.]

I should be trying to sleep, but I don't think I can. Not after everything that's happened today. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

I'm Apollo Justice, and... I don't want to be here. There's not much else I can say about it. I was in the middle of an important investigation, and being kidnapped to- to wherever this is, and given weird powers by a bunch of military guys, wasn't exactly on my agenda! I'd just like to thank whoever had this bright idea, or whatever cosmic force decided it'd be funny to keep me from finding out the truth-!

[He squeezes his eyes shut and takes a deep breath, sounding a little calmer when he continues,] ... Okay. I'm fine. Tomorrow, I'll try to get my bearings and find out more about this place. It's not like I have much of a choice.

As in, 'Waiting for'? Isn't that a really boring play?

[The name does seem a little familiar, otherwise... but Apollo can't quite place it. He last read through Mr. Wright's old cases a few years ago, and that makes it hard to remember details.]

Godot isn't offended though, still grinning as stoically as ever. He chuckles under his breath and has another sip.]

Well now... it takes a spark of something special to go under his tutelage and come out facing the right direction. [That was not a compliment for Phoenix, there.]

How's that defense career coming along?

[Apollo's having a hard time figuring out exactly what this guy's deal is, but he sure doesn't sound entirely... supportive of Mr. Wright.]

Is that what you think? I've met defense attorneys that would've done far worse than Mr. Wright has.

I won't say there haven't been a few hiccups, but my career has been fine, thank you.

Oh, of course. I'm not implying he's any sort of criminal. [Siiiip.] Merely that his methods are... interesting.

I've always been more for facts and evidence than bluffs myself.

[Apollo blinks at that, then pauses for a moment to count on his fingers before saying softly to himself,] No wonder he has white hair.

[That's actually close to a genuine laugh. Close, but not all the way.]

Don't lump me in with the old folks yet, Mr. Justice. Death and I have tangoed once before, and I came out victorious.

A-Anyway! That would make Ms. Fey the one you taught, right?
