one ❅ video

[ For those who are familiar with the area, the video makes it obvious that Sansa is sitting on a bench in downtown Heropa, near several small clothing stores. She is wearing the dress that she arrived in, which appears more appropriate for a drafty medieval palace than the warm Florida afternoon. There is a long pause before Sansa speaks, as though she is carefully considering her words. ]

This world is... unusual. To say the least.

I don't mean to... bother anyone. But I was, ah... wondering if someone could help me find clothing here. It is very... different. I'm not entirely sure what a proper lady is expected to wear. People seem to have very different expectations, and none of it is quite what I am used to. Oh, but I'm sure this all sounds odd. Any help would be... greatly appreciated.

Your sister a bit of a tomboy, huh? Yeah, ladies can wear pants whenever they want here, basically. It mostly comes down to personal preference. I like wearing dresses when it's a special occasion-- parties, meeting with friends, dates, that kinda stuff. But for work I can't really be bothered. Pants are just easier that way.
hackitude: grin, flirty, amused (least i won't be alone tonight)

Huh. That's gotta be difficult for her, if you come from a society that cares about ladies being proper...

Me? Noooooooo way. Look at me. Do I really look like the "lifting heavy objects" type? I'm five foot five of skin and bones, here. I work in IT. [A beat passes before she realises this girl probably has no idea what that is.] Information technology. The little device you're using to communicate with others? Someone has to invent and build them. And fix them when they break. Basically, I'm good with tech. If you ever need someone to explain how to work something? I'm your girl.
hackitude: conversational, smiling, head tilt (you couldn't get home)

You bet. Inside and out. It's kinda my thing. And-- hey, don't fret too much. Trust me when I say that there are tons of people in the world who don't understand a thing about technology. Hell, if there weren't, I'd be out of a job.
hackitude: smile, grin, laughing (watching the storm passing)

No trouble. I do this all day every day anyway.

[That, and Skye couldn't very well leave a girl from medieval times in good conscience to struggle through learning about technology on her own. She's occasionally mischievous, not cruel.]

It's easier to explain in person, though. Want me to meet you somewhere?
hackitude: smiling, happy (all the freedom and fame)

... Sure. That would be great. Just tell me when and where. I'll bring my best teaching cap. ... Uh. That was a joke. I don't really have a teaching cap.
hackitude: impressed (credits roll over the edge of horizons)

Wait-- it's way more important that you get clothes first. Otherwise you're going to like... die of heat exhaustion or something. I mean, this is summer. In Florida.

Get your stuff, I can always meet you at your place in the evening.
hackitude: conversational, happy, surprised (there must be higher love)

Okay. Great. Don't die in the meantime, okay? You can show me what you bought later, if you want. We can make it a fashion parade.
hackitude: surprised (never could be good)

hey so should we handwave this or do action spam or??

Well geez, I should hope so!

I'll see you later.
