[Hi, everyone. Have a view focused on a tray of fresh, hot pastries.]

While I was making these, I had a thought. Everybody here has obviously originally come from all sorts of different times and places, which makes for a lot of interesting conversations. Despite being someone who enjoys cooking and baking, I've never really asked about differences in food. So, if you feel like sharing the information, tell about your favorite dishes from your original universes. I'm curious.

Those things that you just saw are called kiflice. They're sweet pastries, and some of my favorite things to make and eat. I've filled some with hazelnut spread and the others with plum jam; you can fill them with anything you want, really, but those are my two favorite fillings for them.

Those look excellent. I don't think I've ever had kiflice before, actually.

I'd have to say my favorite - although technically this isn't from my universe - but the best I've ever encountered is Serodche blue cheese. Bit of a misnomer, it's actually purple, but their language doesn't have separate words for the two... Sadly, you can only get it in Dimension Ectru, and I'm fairly certain I'm not allowed back.

Yes, please. That'd be fantastic.

It's nothing at all like the salad dressing. Even Earth's blue cheeses are a lot stronger than that. Ectruan cheeses actually have a more umami taste to them, a little less tang. Alien molds, you see.

Friend of mine makes the best damn cookies you ever had and she makes them outta shit you wouldn't think were possible to make cookies outta. Can stretch a chocolate bar for days, too.

I ain't got much in the way of favorites. But one of the ones where I'm from is pickled pig's feet.

Don't really got access to those kinds of things no more. Sugar and proper flour. Chickens do well enough on the egg front. She makes due.

Not usually. Not if it's pickled. Usually just eat it straight out of the jar. But there're things you can do with it. Cut them up and fry them like dumplings if you got the oil for it. Same as anything else you can do with freshly cut pigs feet, really.
