[ Alright, so this is going to be a sort of difficult post, but Sasaki needs to make it ] I wanted to let you know that Hinami was ported out. [ again. ]

As you may or not know, Hinami-chan was a ghoul- like me. Which is not surprising since she called me brother.[ they aren't blood related, but neither of them bothered to explain it ] However, back in my world I'm a Ghoul Investigator. We are tasked with the investigation, incapacitation and neutralization of ghouls- [ a beat ] I kill Ghouls. That's my job: a ghoul who kills ghouls. [ how ironic ]

And not so long before I was brought here, I had captured the SS rated ghoul Hinami Fueguchi and sent her to Cochlea prison, where is waiting for disposal. [ death. ] I didn't remember her back then. Only after I got here I started remembering, and I realized what I did: I locked up my little sister and sentenced her to death.

When I get back to my world, I still won't remember, and Hinami will still be locked up. I can only hope I will manage to do something to save her, but I don't know what will happen. That's why telling you about this is the only thing I can really do. [ there is a longer pause because he doesn't know how to say anything else, at this point ]

Some of you have met Hinami and were her friends and know she doesn't deserve any of it. It's my fault.

I- the person I was before, lost his memories; amnesia. I'm not exactly sure how but probably trauma. [ physical and emotional ] So when I met her again I- recognized her to some extent, but didn't know her.

My partner got brainwashed, back where I'm from. He didn't exactly forget anything, but he was... Detached. He threatened to make me watch him kill my little sister over and over.

I thought I'd lost him for good then. But you say you still recognised her as something. Any chance you'll snap out of it when you're back?

You won't remember...[This is quite the familiar story to Kaneda's own. He's not entirely sure what a ghoul is, but replace it with 'psychics' and you've pretty much got the bare bones outline of his own struggle back home.

Touka-chan wasn't with her; she is safe. Hinami-chan was part of a terrorist ghoul group called Aogiri Tree who was involved in a big operation; that's why she was captured.

Thank the Charter. But Hinami- how on earth did she get mixed up in all that?

There's jus' some things that can't be helped when it comes to our worlds an' our shitty situations.

[ Not well, but not horrible. He's dealing with his own shit. ]

I knew Hinami a little bit. She was a sweet girl. An' I don't think you'll let her die.

[ That isn't saying she won't. And that isn't saying it isn't possible he would simply not remember her and lead her to slaughter. But Rick has to hope that there's some hope in these other worlds. They all can't be as cruel as his. ]

No, not by blood. I don't know how she and Kaneki met - but they weren't blood related. And even so, they considered each other family and Hinami-chan was always close to him.
