In light of the recent majority report -- following that fiasco with Mister Monday or whatever he was calling himself -- does it seem as though that sentence came down rather quickly? I realize this may seem a mite insensitive given the current climate and what's just occurred, but I can't help but wonder. This might be purely my own ignorance talking, but sometimes it does surprise me how different this place is from home.

What is due process in this place, exactly?

As far as I've seen? There is none. And I think punishments are doled out the same regardless of the crime, because I'm pretty sure Crane got the same slap on the wrist for all he did...and it certainly was more than a little theft and destruction of property.

Frankly, I don't think the US government knows how to handle imPort crime, but there hasn't been an imPort movement or anything to change this. As a whole, we've hardly made demands or attempted to uproot the system to handle us. Frankly, WE probably don't know how to handle imPort crime either. Sure, there's RISE but they're military, not law.

Yeah, sadly to be expected. And we're typical citizens...all abuzz on change when it's timely, but doing very little to affect it. I don't even know what the guys we elect as reps do for imports. Act as go-betweens presumably but I doubt they've enacted any effectual changes.

You will soon learn that justice in this place is a very different thing for imPorts than it is for the native citizens. Our government hosts have a rather odd conception of crime and punishment... one which we all pay the price for.

Are they quick to retaliate when one speaks too much of it?

Oh no, no, not at all. Retaliation would imply they had something to fear from our speech. Most imPorts are complacent enough regarding these matters to take no real action. Those who complain are usually safely ignored.

The issue of imPort sentencing was raised during the Swear-In debates. For what it is worth, my platform was committed to achieving reform on this and many other issues.

As for how my vision was received... I believe the final vote tally I received speaks for itself.

Considering the bulk of what I've had to say has been to do with how the authorities handled his arrest and punishment, mistaking a name now counts as running one's mouth?

In my reality, by this year the traditional justice system has been abolished. There are no more lawyers, no more debates, all verdicts are out within 24 hours.

This seems less like automation and more like absolute power wielded dangerously.
