[This video opens with a woman in a bubble bath; the bubbles stop just a couple of inches under her collarbones, and her hair is pulled back in a tight bun. Sara has the device precariously balanced on the edge of the tub and leaning against the wall.]
My name is Sara Lance, hello, hi, greetings, etcetera. Among the ranks of the new here, I guess. Clearly, I'm already taking advantage of some downtime in my new place of residence.
[And trying to not think about recent painful losses back home.]
So fun story: Back in my world, I don't have any powers that would be called superhuman per say. But according to that file thing I have some now? Anyway, I have a more serious question about that: Are control issues a, well, issue with those ones we get here? Because uh. If so, I'd rather get that adjusted sooner rather than later. Any and all advice welcome and appreciated.
[She's absolutely not considering the weird bloodlust side effect from the Lazarus Pit back home as a 'superhuman' power, despite its weird magical/mystical origins or whatever the hell. As for her powers here, she's not saying what they are yet. Most of them seem not really dangerous on the surface, exactly, but she's not dumb enough to think that they couldn't be dangerous in some circumstance. Something can always go wrong. Something can always control her rather than she it.]
Or, if you don't have any advice on that topic, you Maurtia Falls people especially can give me advice on the best places to get coffee here.

...okay, she isn't apt to do that out loud. She's gotten a few looks herself for not (yet) opting to have her shoulder and arm healed. Said injuries are the reason why she has the device carefully aimed to just show her face. ]
It's nice to meet you, Sara, even if it's here and not back home. [ Pause. ] I'm Caitlin. I'm friends with your sister and other, um, mutual friends. Anyway, that's not the point. I can definitely attest to power control issues. So, yeah, they're a thing.

Home's kind of a mess, as I'm sure you well know, so maybe we're luckier to meet here rather than there. [or maybe here is just as messy WHO KNOWS, not Sara.] So, is it like meditation and yoga to get the powers under control here when they DO go south?

But sugar cube generation would be nice for tea. [Yeah, she puts sugar in her tea when she drinks it; she doesn't drink it plain.] Although, probably sticky.

[ He also can't quite stop himself from raising those eyebrows. ]
You could've waited half an hour, you know. [ The "not that I'm complaining" is unsaid, but possibly apparent in his voice. ]

[She makes a mental note of the intersection, and will put it in her phone as soon as her hands are dry enough. Drying hands on a shower curtain is harder than it looks.]
I'm multitasking; I'm mastering the fine art of relaxing and information gathering.
oh gosh i missed this somehow i'm sorry !!
[voice]
That--uh--really depends on powers but--most of them take a little fine-tuning. You don't learn how to read or write without practicing either.
[voice]
Understandable. I mean, I've done the control issues thing before, even though it wasn't really a power back home --- long story -- and it's not something I'm excited to sort of repeat here with actual powers. Hence the 'sooner rater than later' hope.

A tall, blond woman appears, dressed in some kind of white costume and red cape. Her blue gloves can only be seen for a quick second. ]
Control issues are commonplace for those who've never had powers before.

Then I guess it's too much to hope that the results are more on the harmless and hilarious side rather than the disastrous.

Len doesn't know why she chooses to do this from a bathtub, but he honestly isn't even thinking about judging that one way or the other, not that he likely would have cared much either way. Her choice, her business, but most importantly this is Sara. This is the Sara he knows, he is certain of that. Looks, voice, mannerism, everything.
What he's less sure about, what he can't know, is whether this is also the Sara that knows him. Part of him almost doesn't want to find out.
Even so, he finally turns on his device, switches to video - not in a bath and fully clothed - and realises that he has no idea what to say. Not a feeling he's overly familiar with.]
Sara.

If she'd been drinking or eating something, she would have half spit it out and half choked on it as soon as she saw that face and heard that voice. God, she's got to see him in one piece. Somehow.]
You're-- [--not exploded?!?
ok Sara be chill, be chill. She doesn't really know what to say, how to follow that up, either.]
I mean. Holy shit, hi. [That's relief in her voice, yes. And surprise.]

I'm Ruby, one of your new neighbors-ish, and I can definitely send you some recommendations for coffee here in a bit if you want. Personally, I'm pretty fond of this little place called "Flour Crown." The coffee's just okay, but the pastries are to die for.
As for the powers, yeah, it can take a little testing to work out. Depending on what it is, I'd say find a friend and some space and just practice a bit.
video
I don't know if start out by intentionally subjecting someone to these. I mean. Unless they've got some sort of resistance to effects of powers or something. Is that a thing? It's probably a thing.

Because, well, you know.]
Hey baby. What's your power? [he smirks into the camera, trying to look at cool as possible. Which is hard to do in the dorky outfit he's wearing combined with the fact he looks about twelve.] It's gotta be like super hotness, right? Cause you're so fine, girl.

I will say being here has quite a sense of humor when it comes to bestowing new powers.

[The purple-haired woman isn't exactly an expert on powers, though, but she is familiar with Maurtia Falls. Too familiar, perhaps.]
There's a place on the corner of 12th and Diamond Avenue that's decent. Just watch out no matter where you go. If you haven't figured out already, Maurtia Falls isn't always the friendliest place around.

[She nods.]
I'll do my best - I'm not too afraid of a fight. [Starting one, finishing one, whatever.]

Hello, Sara. I'm Claire and funny story: we live together.

In answer to your question about ah, control issues. I did have a few problems with my powers when I first arrived. I found that taking the time to practice with them helped me a lot.

[She can't quite believe her eyes. Out of all the people that could come from home.]
You're here! When did you arrive?
[Laurel has so many other questions but she doesn't want to bombard her.]
video;
Laurel lost Sara twice back home, so if Laurel doesn't know about her own fate back home, Sara isn't saying anything about it. She wouldn't want to risk putting such a damper on the reunion here, considering the stack of tragedies and bad luck in this family as it is already. And if she does know about her fate back home? Then, well, not much changes -- then they both know.
When she speaks, she speaks quickly, but with emotion in her voice because she can't hold back all of it -- she's holding back a lot of it though, considering. Largely relief, but a few other emotions stacked in there too. If it looks like her eyes are watering, she'll blame it on the bath. She'll also blame her voice on the fact that she's just really glad to see Laurel -- which she is, but again, there are other reasons for it too.]
A few hours ago? Long enough to get information, get to my residence, and hop in a bubble bath. Not long. How about you? Where are you?

[ There's this burst of bright light on Barry's end of the feed before it settles into something that just goes back to normal sunlight. ]
Depends on the— powers involved? There's some that are more involuntary than anything else.

Uh, mine are apparently a loud scream type thing, and a couple of others which just. Sound too weird to even be real. And I've seen Some Stuff.

I'm not in Mauritia, but there's this pretty sweet place called To Bean Or Not To Bean over there, if you can get past hipsters and Shakespeare references for five minutes. Nice espresso, caramel macchiatos worth dedicating a postcard to.
Power thing's messy. Figure you got help with that already, but.
