I would be happy if you'd do me the honor of answering a few questions.

First, I would have it known how a doctor sets about establishing their license to practice. Is it the case that such legality is established upon entrance to this world? I highly doubt any sane medical council would permit an unlicensed physician to remain in post, as negligence is surely as endemic in this world as anywhere else. Pertinently, what funding is available for research fellowships, or starting one's own practice?

Second, might those of you with an appreciation of medical science be willing to permit me to make an account of your state of health? A physical examination with all that's entailed. Were I so fortunate as to receive your participation in medical screening, I dare say that it would assist the future treatment of everyone.

Please do me the honor of withholding your response if it fails to address either point in question. You have my gratitude, in any case.

Technology/environment. Trying to make ensure we leave less of a harmful footprint on the earth long after we're gone.

It is with considerable difficulty that anyone attempts anything of the sort; your resolve, at least, is admirable. What area do you specialize in in particular? The soil, perhaps?

Honestly? 21st century issues. Trying to produce cleaner, efficient energy and trying to recycle materials rather than produce more wasteful ones.

Conservation? Attending to the earth on its sickbed? Those are tasks that most people appreciate; or should.

I appreciate the sentiment. It's always nice to hear there are others who care about the world around them.

Quite so. I came here finding this world in a better state than my own; when I reflect on its comparative state, I find myself partly consoled from being removed from my home in the first place. But alas! People are more concerned about the world sometimes than its people. It's quite the bother.

This goes hand in hand. If the world isn't looked after, the people suffer. Maybe not NOW, but future generations will be in trouble.

All of that is true. I shudder to think what awaits us in the future. And in the meantime, people like myself wash up the mess. It's untenable.

Do you mean the health effects or something else?

Both - medicine and geology have been central to my studies since my childhood.

Sounds like you've had a full plate yourself.

Quite so. It has not made mine an entirely happy life.
