[The first image you'll get to see on this particular video feed is pretty much a real detailed view of someone's eyes. They're way too close to the screen and you can almost see the individual flecks of deep brown when the image isn't blurred thanks to this guy moving more than a little bit. The individual responsible for such a sight is trying his damndest to figure out how the hell this thing works, how you can send messages or even videos on something that's very pointedly NOT shaped like a snail, and how you even know if it was working or not.

Eventually it seems like he's stopped caring, or decided that on sheer force of will alone that it's working. Because the feed pulls back and you can see this very 'good dog' expression on a very simple-looking man. A scar under his eye, and a rather ratty old straw hat perched atop his head.]

The food's really good here! And I wasn't even yelled at when I ate a lot, either, and I like that. [The crowd hadn't been the most fun, but who needed fun when there was food involved.]

An' yanno what? I don't like being away from my crew an' home, but if there's an adventure--Nihihi, then I guess I don't mind stayin' around! [And then that 'good dog' expression melts, as if exposed to heat very suddenly. A frown on his face.]

But there's so much land everywhere! And the ocean is so far away! There's too many buildings and I was told that there aren't any pirate ships here??

[So, the weird dog creature is crew now, huh. Zoro files that away for later, along with the "get a rich person to buy us a ship" scheme that he'll inevitably get dragged into somehow and might either be a disaster or actually get them a ship, like that time with Kaya and the Going Merry.

Currently, tho, they have one very particular glaring issue:]

We'll need Nami to get anywhere.

...And nobody here knows where to get a Log Pose.

[Make that two. ...Three, if you count the fact that Zoro is still convinced they're on some uncharted island in the Grand Line, oops.]

[Yep, the weird creature is now with us. It's like a new friend for Chopper, won't he be delighted? You know. The topic of The Going Merry and its absense not being on the table right now or anything.

More important concerns right now. Like how they're missing half their crew.]

Well, we made it around pretty OK before we recruited Nami. [As in, they somehow managed to fumble upon the Island Buggy had taken over by complete accident.]

But no Log Pose is really a problem, isn't it....

Mm, it's trouble. We might be able to wander around long enough to find an island that might have one, but we'd have to load up pretty heavily supplies beforehand without the shitty cook around...

[Like, really heavily. Like, he's not sure the ship wouldn't sink heavily, considering Luffy's appetite.]

This place is probably too far away from most other islands for people to know what the Grand Line is, so we could be adrift for weeks. Months, maybe.

[He nearly barks that bit out, straightening up with all the power that's in his smaller frame.]

There's all that stuff in Alabasta, and being separated from the other guys that long...

[Zoro sighs deeply in response; his aggravation is not quite as...animated as Luffy's, but it's definitely there, simmering under the surface. Each of them are supposed to do what they can, but there's nothing more either of them can do from here, and Zoro's not sure if it'll have been enough.]

I know. It's a pain in the ass. We don't have money, either.

[Which means. a...lot of chores, if they want to gather said supplies without being the kind of pirates that terrorize people for their stuff, and that's never been how they operate.]

[They really were terrible examples of pirates. Won't even pillage or plunder, maybe just a dine and dash here and there...

How were they going to survive.]

We could always go looking for treasure somewhere. [He doesn't want to do chores...............................]

Though, without any islands around that's gonna' be hard.

....Mmmmn. Even if I didn't like the desert that much, seriously. I'd rather be there than in a place that has no other pirates or treasure in it.

[He looks pretty much put out. But then, wait.]

If there aren't ANY pirates around, that'd just mean that any treasure that IS around is pretty much for the taking, right??

[This of course leads to the question of where pirate treasure comes from in the first place--the answer to which is likely uh, not pirates. Considering the whole "plundering and pillaging" thing that most non-Straw Hat pirates tend to do.]

I don't know. If it doesn't belong to pirates, it probably belongs to someone else, like with Nami and the money for Cocoyashi Village.

[And ok, she was technically a pirate then too, but look it doesn't count because Arlong was a piece of shit.]

[Take pirate treasure from other pirates after beating them up for being assholes? Absolutely okay, completely fine. Going into random villages or towns and taking treasure from people who aren't pirates? What the hell, no, that's wrong.

Yeah, they're a shining example of what pirates should be, for sure.]

...Neeeh. That's not any good, then. We can't take that kind of money from people.

[This is a serious problem.]

What do you think we should do? I mean, there's places that give out free food for now, but...

[It's definitely a Problem. Functioning without money is one thing when you're on the sea or in some place where you can hunt or fish for food and make supplies out of what's available, but not in a town as urban as this.]

Or if they have anything like bounty hunters for criminals here like they did for pirates in the Blues or the Grand Line, I could go back to that for awhile...
