[It was eerie the way Mikleo sounds so very calm as he asks for Sorey's whereabouts. As much as she always knew the water spirit was the calmer and more formal of the duo, she couldn't help feel the same feelings the day she heard Sorey's message over Mikleo having suddenly vanish. She knew Mikleo wasn't feeling as calm as he'd like to come off as.]

No. I haven't seen or heard from him today.

[A short pause.]

Have you called him yet?

[ Nike's voice is comforting, to say the least. However, her answer... It isn't. Maybe Sorey had forgotten his device somewhere, or maybe he'd lost it. He wouldn't put it passed him with Sorey being as easily distracted as he was sometimes. ]

Multiple times. He hasn't answered, which is why I thought to ask his friends.

[She was very close to asking if Sorey really wasn't answering his phone or his calls weren't going through. Fortunately, she decides against asking for the time being since she knew Sorey wasn't the type to go anywhere without informing Mikleo about it beforehand. They were a team after all.]

Yeah, that's a good idea. Do you want some company while you wait to hear for new information? I can come over. [It's the least she can do for them. To wait for Sorey to return while keep Mikleo company until his precious childhood friend returned.]

That's quite alright. I don't plan to stay put.

[ He appreciates the offer, but he'll do everything in his power to possibly find Sorey right now. He stubbornly wants to believe that there's still a chance that Sorey is still here. ]

[She had a feeling he was going to pull the same stunt as Sorey was -- desperately search for him until who knows when on his own. But unlike Sorey that needed to eat and sleep, Mikleo didn't need any of those things. Even so, she couldn't help want to stay with him.]

I insist! If you want to search for him, it's fine; I'll go wherever you want to go for as long as it takes. I just...don't want you to go on about it on your own. You shouldn't be alone right now.

[ It's mostly because Mikleo doesn't need to eat or sleep that he's prepared to search everywhere he can for Sorey right now. ]

I appreciate it, but... I'm used to doing things on my own by now. [ Nike has her own problems to worry about. He's well aware of that. ]

[There will be a loud sigh as she listens to him. He's very lucky they aren't using the video option or else he would notice her current expression right about now.]

Just because you're used to doing stuff on your own, it doesn't mean you always have to. You don't have to be alone now. I don't want you to. I doubt Sorey wants that for you, especially.

[A pause.]

If it were the other way, would you want Sorey to worry alone?

Sorey's the kind of person who'd befriend just about anyone. I'm not too surprised.

I was in bail bonds. if people jumped bail I had the authority to find them and bring them back for sentencing because of my investment. and I was a sheriff before I ended up here.

( now she plans kids parties... technically. she has not been stellar at that, frankly. )
