[The Major is gazing into the camera, looking as focused and intense as ever.]
As many of you know, my body is completely prosthetic. Back home, this is relatively common, making replacement parts and even entirely new bodies easy to obtain.
But here? Having a body constructed of technology beyond what is readily available poses certain challenges.
[She folds her hands in front of her and leans forward.]
I've reached a point where I need more than just a few spare parts here and there. I'm proposing a joint research project to construct a prosthetic body. It's going to require expertise in engineering, biology, physiology, and neuroscience. I can provide the software solutions, but I don't have the ability to actually construct the prosthetics.
I can provide some monetary compensation, but the real benefit will be the technology itself. After it's completed, you or your company can feel free to use it as you see fit. There are clear medical and military applications. Of course, I'd prefer that it be used for the benefit of humanity, but I won't really be in any position to make demands.
I imagine that if there's anywhere where someone can develop brand new technology on a short timetable, it's here. If you have the ability and facilities necessary, let me know. I'll be thoroughly vetting anyone interested.
[She leans back again. She'd prefer that the technology not be utilized by some Import megalomaniac, after all.]
I'm also contracting out as a cyber security specialist. If you have a personal or corporate network, I can make it virtually impenetrable.
[Prosthetic bodies aren't cheap, especially on an arcade repairwoman's salary.]

Of course, it wouldn't have to be marketed in such a way. The medical applications for curing disease are vast as well.

that he needs way too often]Are you planning to handle it as ImPorts internal project, or will you be trying to go for military funding and support?

[She's been that route before. Having to deal with the government for access to high-grade prosthetics limits what you're able to accomplish.]
video
The results of this project affect me personally, so to speak.
[ Having mechanical body is one thing. Having knowledge about electronics and engineering is other. In his case, he posses only one of these things. ]

I appreciate it, but hopefully we won't need too much additional funding. The research itself should be worth far more than we can raise.
At least the results could make life easier for those of us without flesh and blood.

[ Sudden change of subject, but it's related. He wants to know how long a full-body cyborg could function here without outside maintenance ]

He can also use all of it to strengthen his own extracurricular activities, but who even cares about that...]
It's a possibility. Wayne Technology and Wayne Biotech are two of the largest subsidiaries of my company, and funding is more than available.
But I suppose the more important question would be what do you plan on using this body's applications for, Ms. Kusanagi?
Video
I'd use it for a spare, essentially. I lost a leg the last time I was here, and I would have avoided a lot of downtime by being able to transfer my brain into a new body while the damaged one underwent repairs.
[It's not a lie, but it's also not the complete truth. But she doesn't really want to advertise that she can remote control a second body. Which would definitely have uses when dealing with certain individuals. *coughcranecough*]

Of course your body's autonomy is your own, but considering the implications of what this body can do and the fact that it would essentially have my company's name on it leaves me with a few reservations, you understand.
That being said please take your time. If there's anything in particular that you have questions about, I'm always available.

[It probably isn't hard to find information about her activities with the now-defunct Archangel anti-crime organization. Especially given that she was one of the few confirmed to be linked to it.]
I suppose I have the same question for you. Since you have a biotech company, I assume you have medical applications in mind.

[ He is only ten percent human; his entire body is very easily recognizable as cybernetic. The technology for his body doesn't exist here because he is from a time beyond even this time period which presents a problem; if he breaks, who can fix him? Ordinary machinery wouldn't work. He was made of certain things that weren't available outside of his universe. It stresses him out a little to think about this. ]
I wish I could help in some way, but beyond being a research model, I am pretty much useless.

[Against his will, but that's a minor detail here. Even Brainiac was aware that Lex was the best choice by far.]
I doubt this would be that difficult.

How similar was your project? [Are we talking medical prosthetics or battle droids or what?]
video
Fairly similar. It was a replacement body. Beyond state of the art. [And Lex learned as much as possible from working on was what supposed to be a new body for Brainiac.]
