[Jacob films this post while standing in front of the white walls of Helix Station in Maurtia Falls, wearing a navy-blue tank top and black shorts. Judging by the sweat visible on his arms, he just finished his exercise for the morning. His ramrod-straight posture projects an image of Official Business that doesn't match his casual tone of voice, or his workout clothes.]

Hey, everyone. I'm Jacob Taylor. I work with RISE: that's an imPort police team, for all you new arrivals out there. I'm putting together something new for the community... kind of a public safety resource. Like the FAQ, but focused on who's causing trouble these days.

So I thought I'd ask: what do you think are the biggest threats around here? Criminals, terrorists, the Soviets? Maybe there's something most of us haven't heard about yet that more people need to know about. It's important to be aware, especially when people might want you dead. There's always something happening under the surface around here.

Oh, and just so we're clear: this is going to be a list focusing on groups, not individual people. So don't bother talking about who your least favourite imPorts are.

[He pauses for a moment, then relaxes his posture as he segues into more civilian matters.]

That's about it for official business. Unofficially... I was wondering if anybody has got suggestions on a good name for a dog.

[He's totally planning to get a dog. Heads up, MF 001 housemates!]

Not everyone wants to be responsible.

Exactly. Russians are stronger, but domestic enemies hit harder.

Right. So are there any domestic enemies you're particularly worried about these days? Anything you think RISE should be keeping on our scopes?

The Go Fors, right now. After all, they are the ones we still don't know much about. Though they have been silent for a while. [ and maybe that's what makes it an issue ]

[Jacob nods and grimaces at the name.]

Good choice. There's still a lot we don't know about them, but I fought enough of their toys last year to know that they're trouble.

But I'm willing to bet most people on the Network don't even know they're out there. That's what I'm hoping to fix.

I don't think most people even remember they exist since they've been so silent. But a lot of people don't know about the past events with... well, everyone who tried something against imPorts. [ like the Hornets. It's not really something they should forget or others should live without knowing. Sasaki thinks it's important that people realize that bad things happen, even in American soil and caused by American people ]

Yeah. And that's a problem, because most of those past problems aren't really in the past. The bad guys don't just disappear in between events.

Well, aside from the Hornets. At least we took them down for good.

Yes, and they can just take up other names. It's good that others realize that bad things do happen; safer too.

[ the Hornets is a sore spot in a lot of people, and also Sasaki's. he tried to kill a lot of people and he was killed, in the end - so it's a very touchy subject ]

Exactly. I'm glad you get it. But I guess you've been around long enough to see the worst of it, haven't you?

[Jacob can't recall talking to Sasaki before now, but he has seen him around the Network and in the news for a long time- long enough to recognize him as one of the veteran imPorts.]

Tell me about it. When I showed up, the local date was May of... wow. 2014.

Hard to believe. So much has changed since then. Too bad most of the bad stuff seems to stay the same. Different names, but the same patterns.

Definitively. Though I admit I never expected an actual attack from Russia back then. It always felt like a Cold War so that certainly broke the pattern.
