Hullo everyone. It's Kitty.

[ Kitty looks a little more normal than she did the last time she made a post on the network, since the last time she made a post on the network she looked like a tiger. She's bright-eyed, cheerful, and has a pair of very elaborate and beautiful earrings. ]

So, I'm taking a class in journalistic methods at the local community college - it's a brilliant class, too, I'm having an excellent time, school really gets much more worthwhile when you get to the college level, doesn't it - and we've been given an assignment to conduct interviews. I know that some of you are willing and happy to help me out and submit to being interviewed. [ Her grin is confident. ] It's nothing too personal, I promise - just some stuff on your attitude towards the locals here, that sort of thing. It'll be fun.

[ This...is not one hundred percent truthful, since the assignment is to interview one person, not the whole community. But, hey, why not do some broad info-gathering, right? ]

[ Miles' own ears are still bare - mostly because he'd gotten his own box from his alternate self and promptly shoved them away somewhere - but now that he sees Kitty wearing them, he sort of regrets that impulse. God, she looks lovely wearing them ... And it soothes an old wound of his to see someone wearing earrings that claim him. (At least. He thinks he does. Surely he's reading them right.) ]

Let me guess. A mysterious box showed up on your doorstep a few weeks ago?

But... those earrings. He couldn't read all of the information on them, there were parts of the Betan society that were just far too foreign for him to quite get all of the intricacies of it.

[ Um. He looks...Well, nearly smug, frankly. Kitty blinks, a bit alarmed by that. Why...? ]

[That WAS interesting, as... as far as he knew, things were on a certain hold with Gregor on that. Changes or just different dynamics... Suddenly, he understand why she went on about how those earrings needed to be universal.]

[ Shortly after Aral's conversation with Kitty, there's a loud sputtering sort of noise coming from Miles & Gregor's bedroom. Followed by a very plaintive telepathic whine. ]

Da! You can't say those kinds of things to Kitty!

[If there was going to be any downside to a telepathic connection, it was going to be not having a secretary between you and complaints.]
