Richard Gansey, Ronan Lynch, and Henry Cheng have all been sent home. They've been gone a few days.

If there's anything outstanding from either of them that you need help with, let one of the rest of us know and we'll do our best to work it out.

[ Everything's fine, everything's fine. Someone needed to do this though, and if Adam's brusque business like statement is a little off well, just don't bring it up. ]

[ Blue is quiet for a second. Then, she's quiet for a second longer, except instead of just being quiet, she's also shrugging rather aggressively. ]

As long as it doesn't end badly, it's fine, isn't it?

[brushoff]

Don't worry, it only ends badly for me. [ said in a bit of a jokey tone. Ha ha, Dorian got hurt! ]

Last December, there was this sort of bizarre pseudo-military organization. They caused a scene only to attack the imPorts who came to play hero. Some of us had our powers swapped, some of us were stabbed or poisoned, a lucky few had both happen to them. I was 'lucky.' I was poisoned and my leg broke which would have been no problem, except they took away my powers and replaced it with the ability to nullify powers, so no sort of magical healer could patch me up on the spot.

Of course, everything went back to normal a week or so later, but during that week, I was stuck in the hospital, high as a kite. Gansey comes into the story because he brought me a balloon. In retrospect, it was probably just to shut me up. [ Dorian has enough self awareness to know he was being an annoying little shit. ] Still, it was a nice thing for him to do.

[ She still frowns about that. It's not like she wishes bad things on Dorian. Or has any reason to do so, anyway.

She might be contrary and hypocritical, but she's not flat-out spiteful. Most of the time. ]

It sounds like he was worried about you. He does that. Worries about his friends.

[ The last word falls off her lips more slowly than the rest and she reluctantly trails off, brow set. ] This much chaos just doesn't even make sense.

[brushoff]

At least he worried about me then. We had a fight before he left.

[ granted, said fight was a few months before Gansey left...but point remains! ]

I feel that half the time, the chaos is just chaos for chaos's sake.

[oceiteres]

You're not feeling sorry for yourself, are you? [ Says Blue in the tone of voice of a person who should not have asked this question, because she can probably relate... ]

Maybe it's an experiment. To see how much of this we'll tolerate before we fly off the handle and do something really destructive.

[brushoff]

Not entirely. I know the fight's my fault. I simply wish we parted on better terms.

[ besides, Dorian rarely feels sorry for himself in the first place because he is the best. He can't help but chuckle a bit at her theory, though. ]

Careful. If that isn't already true, you'll give them ideas.

[oceiteres]

[ Well, that answer seems to please her. A little. As close as she can get to being pleased right now when it's obvious she's seething. ]

He could come back. I did. [ But does she even want that? To the second thing he says, she makes a face. ]

I guess I wouldn't put it past them, knowing what I know now. This is ridiculous.

[brushoff]

You did. And, he could come back remembering this place, as I did. [ he's been home a couple of times—and when he arrived back here, he remembered this world. ]

But you're right—ridiculous is putting it mildly.

[oceiteres]

It's like some mysterious force is just rolling the dice with our lives. Which sounds over-dramatic, but is it honestly not accurate?

[brushoff]

We're all pieces on a giant metaphorical chessboard?

[oceiteres]

[ She makes another face. ] That's a depressing way of putting it, but I guess it's basically what I just said, isn't it?

[brushoff]

It's just a different game metaphor, after all.
