Do you believe in God? Gods? Do they exist where you're from? What about angels or demons or anything like that?

Where I'm from the existence of gods is hard to deny. People are pretty devote and religious. Church is an intrinsic part of our culture. It takes someone pretty hardheaded or self-centered to deny the existence of higher powers, but here there's not much emphasis on religion. Guess I'm just kinda curious now. Is it more like my home in your worlds, or more like this one?

That's a pretty bold claim, but if you don't respect your teacher or feel them to be the best then why would you follow them?

But you did learn eventually. Lessons aren't always learned the first time they're given to us. I'm sure your teacher respects that you eventually got around to understanding.

But how do you know they aren't wrong for thinking that way? I know in your world there are ways to understand how things work and it's easy to say there's no god

But I've seen them Newt. I know they're real, even if maybe not in the way I original thought. Hell, I mostly only ever thought of the Christian God before but I know there's more of them out there back home. They just aren't what I expected.

I see. If you want to know more about the gods of my world, you could probably go to the library and look up Japan's deities. It might not exactly the same but should be fairly close. The recent history of my world is different from this one but I don't imagine a whole lot has changed in that aspect.

Personally, I never believed in any god but my mother decided to name me Mikaela - meaning gift from God. Of the Christian sort, I imagine.

That's a nice name. I'm sure your mother had a good reason for it, even if she just liked the sound. You may not believe in god, but it's nice to see that your mother cared enough to think of you as a gift.

I don't know about all that. My mother was more than strange. I suppose she did save me in a way before her death, though I'm not entirely sure it counts considering she threw me out of the moving car.

I've never found it so. The gods' presence can be felt everywhere, and we have faith that they will follow the rules.

Also there's the Chamber of the Ordeal and it doesn't matter how much faith one has in that.
