[ The sounds are unmistakable; the clinking of glasses, soft rock music, muted chatter. Hood's on a bar, be it for the booze or for the memories, he ain't telling. It's a little bit of both, really. At least in there he can pretend the crazy world he's been dumped into exists at all. As long as he doesn't walk out again there's nothing to worry, right? ]

Someone fucked up. [ There's a hint of irritation in his voice. ] They wanted a hero, they got me. I'm honored, really, but I sort of quit that life. [ Being a cop and being a hero aren't exactly the same, but that's as close as he's ever going to get. ]

I get it, though. No going back, at least not willingly. Fine. [ A pause; that whiskey isn't going to drink itself. ]

Just... you go your way, I go mine. Got it.

Good.

[ As if he would wait for an actual reply, pffft. ]

[ He's still staring though. ]

[Daisy takes another sip of her beer before placing it back on the counter and holding a hand out to him.]

[ a handshake it is, okay. ]

Daisy. Who is not a villain. Okay.

[Daisy took another swig of her beer, all the while staring at him.]

You totally had a superhero name, didn't you?

Not at all.

[ Hood raises a hand and the bartender comes with two beers. He doesn't check for the brand. ]

Unless this one counts.

I didn't catch your last name.

[For the longest time she didn't have a last name. Poots was the terrible last name she got at the orphanage, and for obvious reasons, she didn't like it.]

Johnson. Not as cool as Hood, but it's okay.

[ That's a new one. ]

What? I liked Robin Hood growing up.

[Daisy had just taken a sip of her drink when she snorted at his comment.]

[ Because that's 50% right, 50% way out of the mark. ]

Well, considering I had a lot of names I'm not sure how much I believe that.

[She realizes how bad that sounds. Like she's some sort of criminal.

[ As long as it's all in jest... but the other bit rings way too truly with him. His smile, smug up to this point, gets a bit more honest. ]
