[ Mouse isn't very good at being on camera. He keeps fidgeting and glancing away, down at the rats huddled in his lap and resting on his bare shoulders. A thin tail flicks in front of the camera, and after some encouraging squeaks, Mouse speaks up again, sounding a little more sure of himself. ]

It's getting colder outside, and lots of rats are moving indoors and trying to stay warm. If you see any, don't freak out, and don't call the exterminators or set up traps, okay? I can come get them, and find them a better place to stay.

[ There's a 90% chance that this 'better place' will end up being his bedroom. Sorry, roomies! ]

If you want to be nice, try giving them some baked pumpkin seeds. Not too many though, or they'll get sick.

... I'm Mouse, by the way. Probably should have said that earlier.

... 'Cause they're from outer space? There was a space-princess who came here a while back, and she had rainbow-coloured mice. You never know.

You don't have to use traps at all! Would you want to get stuck in one?

You cannot be in each city to collect them all, nor expect people to just live with them until you arrive. It would be more reasonable to have them safely caught and held until you can retrieve them.

[ He trails off, realizing that this is a losing argument. First off, he's unsettled and has to go through security every time he wants to use one of the porters, second, he knows damn well that even once he's in a city, he still has to find his way around town. ]

... What are the humane traps like? They don't hurt them at all, do they?

Not outside, but there's always the air conditioning to consider. I'm not certain how things might fluctuate inside the house with all of us living together.

[ So, here's the thing: Mouse usually talks to rats. He hasn't had much luck talking to mice, despite his namesake, possibly because rats are more common in the areas he tends to hang out in.

So when Kitty pops up on screen, his eyes go wide because omg TINY TALKING MOUSE. ]

No, no! Mice are good too! Especially talking ones! I can make extra space for any mice that need somewhere to stay.
