[ it's been a rough month for jessica — thanks to her arrival and reliving her traumatic memories with the devil himself. in between all of her alcohol consumption, she's had time to think because sadly, even hard liquor can't always numb the pain.

it's almost midnight, and she finds herself posting on the network. there's no username attached; she prefers anonymity for this topic. well, here goes nothing. ]

if someone's dead back home, is there any chance they can show up here?

and what if they're the goddamn devil? will the cops do something about it?

serious answers only. not in the mood for bullshit.

[ Caitlin hesitates. Is it right to put his name out there? Will mentioning him somehow, cosmically, draw him back? Glass half-full. ]

Eobard Thawne.

Yes. I'd prefer not to do it over this, though. Plus, it's a story to goes best with a drink or three.

Better. Especially now that I made myself a drink.

[ Because private or not, she isn't foregoing that part of it. ]

So. Eobard Thawne. When I first met him and for most of the time that I knew him back home, I knew him as Dr. Harrison Wells. He was my boss. My mentor. He saw my potential and gave me a chance to make my own name in my field, instead of forever being attached to my mother's.

He was this brilliant scientific mind, ahead of the curve in every way possible.

It's a bit of an oversimplification, but yeah.

There was an explosion that basically ruined the company. Ruined his reputation, and mine along with it because I chose to stand by him. All the while, he was murdering people who began to suspect him. Long story somewhat shorter, he was a time traveler who'd become stuck in what was our past fifteen years prior because he'd traveled back to kill a friend of mine as a child. When he couldn't do that, he killed my friend's mother instead. Either way, he irreparably damaged the timeline.
