[One December afternoon as carols and the sound of jingle bells belt from every business' speakers, filling people with Christmas cheer (and exhaustion) weeks before the actual event, one imPort posts a text to the network.]

You'd think that with there being four of us ordering at least one of us would get our name right, right?

[Attached to the post is a selfie of teens showing off their favorite signature holiday drinks, but the focus of the picture are the names -- confidently scribbled across the cup of each drink are Grant, Kenneth, Utah, and Moore, and anybody who knows these boys will know that those are pretty much the 4kids dub version of their names at best.]

Let's pretend there's a campfire and share some stories about ways your name has been spelled or pronounced since coming here. I'm sure it's happened to a majority of us. （´。` ）

[Ken takes a sip of his latte. Nice and warm.]

[Behind his goggles, Kidou's eyes had already narrowed in thought, head tilting down a little subconsciously as he continues to mull the question over despite advice to do the opposite. Nonetheless, he stops mentioning it and tries his drink.

It's not bad. Not bad at all. He'd definitely get this again, he decides.

But it isn't good enough to provide any distraction.]

... Kidou-kun.

[He swears to god with this kid.]

Think about it: how badly did we screw up that Shakespeare script.

[tacticianing]

[Though the reminder isn't the most pleasant, it does reframe the question out of 'how did they add syllables' and back into a bigger picture. He calmly takes one more sip of his latte, then lowers the cup, careful to keep his fingers over the 'Utah'.]

[He grins at him from over his cup.]

It's like Jaime-san's name. How would you think that one's spelled, if you hadn't heard it already.

[tacticianing]

I can't say for certain. Having seen it already would impact my guess.

[It's small, but he offers a return smile.]

But had I been expected to write it down, it wouldn't have been correct.

Exactly. And even if it was in Japanese, if you just heard my name you couldn't guess the kanji behind it immediately.

By the way.

[He leans forward.]

I keep hearing Endou and Gran call you playmaker. We don't get a lot of chances to really play tactics in soccer here, but I'm guessing that's what you usually do right.

[tacticianing]

[It's also his totally secret (he's still learning how to be good at secret agent-y things, alright) codename here, so the conspiratorial tone gets Kidou's immediate attention. He doesn't react much outwardly, but he's watching Amada carefully now under the protective cover of his goggles.]

That's right.

[He should follow that up with a 'why'. But this time, he doesn't, preferring to let Amada steer this where he's going to.]

Winter break.

[He doesn't point because it's rude, but he does tip his cup toward Kidou.]

Do you want to battle it out? In SEES it was the leader we left decisions up to, but I'm pretty good with battle tactics too.

[tacticianing]

[And just like that, he was right to let this play out. No suspicions raised at all.. Even before Amada's done talking, a slow smile's drawing across his face.

He might not be able to do much here compared to the others, but tactics don't require powers. Does he want to do this?

Heh... Bring it on. I want to see what SEES tactics are like.

[He raises a free hand, knuckles held out to Kidou in an invitation for a fist bump.]
