TEXT (not a misfire)

[One December afternoon as carols and the sound of jingle bells belt from every business' speakers, filling people with Christmas cheer (and exhaustion) weeks before the actual event, one imPort posts a text to the network.]

You'd think that with there being four of us ordering at least one of us would get our name right, right?

l o l no

[Attached to the post is a selfie of teens showing off their favorite signature holiday drinks, but the focus of the picture are the names -- confidently scribbled across the cup of each drink are Grant, Kenneth, Utah, and Moore, and anybody who knows these boys will know that those are pretty much the 4kids dub version of their names at best.]

Let's pretend there's a campfire and share some stories about ways your name has been spelled or pronounced since coming here. I'm sure it's happened to a majority of us. (´。` )

((ooc: Any of the boys featured in the post -- Gran, Kidou, Endou, Ken -- may respond to you!! Likewise, feel free to threadjack and hit up anybody and consider it a shitpost free-for-all. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.))

[Give him a moment to stare at the text, staring at it as if he'd signed some invisible contract with the devil by ordering this fancy little do-dad at the local Starbucks. There's a glance to the cup, there's a glance to the text.

And then a response.]

Nice choice.
If you liked it, make your friends take you back there again and enjoy it a couple more times before winter's over. Also if they have gingerbread or eggnog flavored drinks, and if you like those flavors, try those while you can.

Soon we'll be in Spring and that's not really coffee season, but the Cherry Blossom drink is pretty nice if you like strawberries (I know, strawberry in a cherry drink, it makes no sense).

Also, if you decide you like coffee drinks, I suggest trying some NON-Starbucks places. Maybe Dunkin Donuts or some little cute coffee house.

[There's something about the way Newt rambles on even in text form that's endearing. It reminds him slightly of a friend back home. One who often liked to emphasize any simple sentence with a couple dozen more words.

A little taste of home in the conversation, honestly.]

I didn't realize there were so many different kinds. It's good though.

Maybe I'll try the gingerbread ones. The librarian in De Chima gave me one once...that was delicious.

there are so many kinds, it's ridiculous. try them all. you might as well. it's a legal stimulant and so you might as well experiment while you're young.

JUST NOT ALL AT ONCE OK. space it out. And avoid multiple espresso shots. or you will vibrate out of your skin -- not literally, but, yeah.
I'm trying to be a responsible adult here. try coffee, just don't overdose on it, ok. and I don't know how your Aliean body will process the sugars and caffeine compared to a human teenager so uh. moderation.

gingerbread cookies are awesome. tell your friends to teach you how to make gingerbread houses... or at least gingerbread people. you can decorate them to be each other and then eat your friends. Dunk ken in some milk
