[It's just after dawn on Friday morning, and the video feed clicks on to a young man in torn, bloody clothing, crouched down over an injured baby deer. From where the communicator rests in the grass, early morning De Chima traffic is visible behind him.]

Look, you have to go back in the- No, no, not that way-

[He's trying to urge the deer back towards the woods, but it just wants to come with him. Though its injuries seem extensive, it isn't in any apparent pain, frolicking around his legs in the high grass.]

I can't take you home, kiddo. I don't even have a home, yet. Just- Stop that!

[If it weren't all for the blood, this would be one of the cutest things to ever happen.]

[The sound startles him - much like a deer - and in response, he trips over his own feet and plants himself right in the grass. The deer uses the opportunity to lick his face, as George looks over at the camera.]

I'm not an animal person.

Then walk him to a veterinarian's office. Do you want directions?

[puppydoctor]

[Something in his eyes goes a bit buggy, a bit nervous.]

I don't think that's... necessary. The deer's fine.

[The fawn looks at the camera, seeming to agree.]

It's fine, I checked its vitals.

[And there were none. He hasn't let himself think too hard about this yet - he just wants the deer to go back in the woods so he can go find his apartment and sleep.

[dumbfound]

Yeah, hi.

[ Guess who probably didn't even realize George was gone for an extended period of time, and probably just assumed that he was really quiet for a bit. ]

Does it need bandages though?

[puppydoctor]

No, it'll be fine, I looked it over.

[Oh sweet summer Junseo.]

It's the healthiest deer in the world. I promise.

[He stares back, brow furrowing a little.]

[puppydoctor]

[The problem is, Sarah says "mate". And with the communicator nestled in the tall grass, in the early light of morning, George doesn't notice anything... different.]

Sarah. [He says it back in a matching tone, but his teasing is gentle.] I've got it under control.

( Soon: George and Sarissa recreate the Doctor-Donna oi scene. )

Uh, obviously not, dickhead. I'm her sister. Different accent, not half so charming.

( HOWEVER, she leans slightly closer to the screen. ) Is that little thing seriously a zombie?

[His attention is immediately grabbed, and he reaches to pick up the device.]

Another? Were you here last time?

[There might have been another, towards the end. He should have paid more attention.]

And I don't know. I guess it depends on your definition of "zombie".

[puppydoctor]

[He turns around too quickly, and almost falls over.]

Lucy! You're still here!

[illuminescent]

Oh, yes, but it is you! And you remember!

Feels like I left yesterday, but Sarah said it had been six months.

[The deer tries to nose its way into the lens, and George moves the camera.]

Oh, that's so sweet. You're like a real-life, masculine Snow White. [She grins.] I suppose a deer doesn't make a very good pet, but if you have a back yard, maybe it could come live there.
