[ The video starts with Kaneki sitting on an old couch, in a place that looks like an old warehouse. There are old kitchen appliances there as well, some seem to be in good shape, but most are broken and battered. He is also holding on to a file of sort, which he will be reading as he speaks ]

Last month we had a black-out and following that, someone released hundreds of criminals. Like it was mentioned before, someone heard German being spoken and Russian technology was found on the scene. Some of us decided to go after a couple of clues related to all of that, and that lead us to Liechtenstein. In Europe, yes, a Russian allied country and they speak German there. [ This was the first time he went to Europe, actually, and it was on a spy mission. There is something to say about that ]

We found a couple of things, which I believe you’d be interested in. [ he finally starts flipping through the pages of the folder he has in his hands ] The place we broke in was a laboratory and we found many references to the American technological company DARPA - known for the creation of the imPocreats that had attacked Philadelphia some months ago. The employees they referenced in these files, including those who helped creating imPocreat technology, either quit prior to the Philadelphia attacks or were fired after the fact and none of them work for DARPA. [ he looks back at the camera ] In fact, we found a few imPocreats submerged in tanks. They were experimenting on them in many different and kind of grotesque ways, but we aren’t sure what they were trying to do since there was no documentation. [ no way he is telling the network they actually stole one of those things. That’s something for later on. He is quick to go back to the file to continue reading it. ]

They also had documentation on Tony Stark's metahumans . It was mostly information that the public already knows, but it seems they have been experimenting on DNA with special interest in the idea of a metahuman gene. Along with this, we also found documentation on imPort powers, specifically what we have shown to the public before.

Finally, the foreign technology the laboratory was working on appeared to be Russian in nature. They have advanced and futuristic EMPs and Electronic Disruptors, and plans and prototypes for invisibility aeroplanes that appear to be able to achieve fuel efficiency for around-the-world journeys. [ Kaneki puts down the file and leans back in his seat, while one of his gloved hands reaches for the eyepatch covering the left eye and adjusts it ]

That's all. But if you have any questions, I can try answering. The USA government knows all of this, since we shared this information with them.

[ Note: Some sort of catch-up if you will! Misfire plot, which was followed by a Blackout and Prison break. The Prison break was investigated ICly by other characters and their findings can be found here. The mission Kaneki is talking about happened in private, but I’ve written everything down about how it all begun and what happened during it. The ImPocreat parts they stole are NOT available YET and no one but the members of this mission knows about it; this will be for a future plot, but for now it’s hidden. ]

[ Vulcanus. He doesn't doubt Kanaya searched the whole world for it, but Kaneki has found sometimes there are similarities between the world Kanaya was in before and this one. Even if it's just names of organizations, but without any actual relation besides that.

Still, it doesn't hurt to look for that further, does it? ]

Kanaya, do you think you can give me a list of prominent organizations that existed in that world? Ones that marked you and other imPorts, at least.

i dont know that i really could
in my three years on that world the crises and problems we encountered that werent directly caused by imports
(and there were a huge number of those)
largely they were dominated by vulcanus
they worked with other entities like the skrulls
and im almost certain they were connected to atropos at the end
we first learned of them after they put forth their own smokescreen of a superhero team called majesty
i think in the end they were all killed by one of their own after she went mad
which sounds pretty familiar to me

there might have been another organization named for a number
it was the number of people killed in import incidents and i was surprised by how low it was
but they never attacked us on any front that wasnt political
they may also have been a vulcanus smokescreen
then there were the nationwide import-inspired vigilante street gangs phantasm and red death
the latter of which was absolutely a vulcanus smokescreen

thats all i can really recall
youd really be surprised that ninety-percent of our problems all started within the community
i dont know who it was that summoned a void-dweller to consume our souls one halloween but it was definitely an import
i think there may have been an organization with some sort of bee name before i came in
all i know is they wiped los angeles right off the map
i never knew there was a los angeles except that everyone would talk about its absence
you might ask tony stark or senator hundred about that one

This world isn't the same as this one, but there are some similarities, even if just in the name.

the very first swear-in was hosted by a charity known as the vulcanus foundation
after that i was paranoid for a very long time
but i dont think the similarity actually means anything now

even if ive guessed correctly the direction this development is headed its a less direct parallel
more that someone else is doing something that has been done before and my experience enabled me to recognize it
if vulcanus were really involved they should have solidified their method of applying these power templates already
theye had a lot of practice

It's weird, I think, how many of these names come back.
How to explain this- you didn't just find them randomly while reading a magazine. They showed up for an event with imPorts. And it has happened with some others.

And I don't think the Vulcanus Charity Foundation is actually some crazy cult after imPorts. But it's always so strange when something pops up and I hear that the name existed in that place where you were, as well.

I want to learn how to hack, so i'll just use these names for my first tries.

were i a sane and reasonable woman i might have taken the parallel as indication that we were on a new world where the old things no longer hold the same meaning
instead i was a terrified girl still grieving the end of an entire world as caused by people who shared the name

a few months later the hornets and the russians made their first attacks within the same week
but we had no idea who was responsible
all we saw was someone blow up the monorail and send robot sharks to an import-centered event
i ended up having a sort of nervous breakdown over the network
those were lovely times

look into the names as you learn
just be sure not to take too much for granted if you find something

but ive always been a bit of a masochist and no one talks about it if i dont

Tell me more about the Fates. Have you met them personally or spoke to them?

ive at least encountered all of them
carrying on a conversation is another matter

youve heard plenty about lachesis im sure
but ill summarize nonetheless
every import in the city had direct access to lachesis upon arrival
we didnt have the receiving party we do here and most of the functions they provide were taken care of by her
minus the nanites and the job placements and the files
she would only give us a communicator and a pair of dog tags and send us on our way
any time we died our bodies would break down within a day or so and then we would eventually reappear in the porter after a week or so
there was just a single apartment building that with electronic locks that the dog tags could open
and we would get a weekly stipend to an account connected to them also
i guess they were really more like miniature credit cards

anyway she would address us on occasion but not often
i never really responded to her because i didnt have much to say
and she didnt care for most of what we mightve said anyway
i think she simply enjoyed fucking with us
i still dont know how many of the odd events we would encounter were her doing and how many were just attributed to her as an easy scapegoat
im sure it was a high occurrence of both

her sisters were a bit different in that they had something closer to bodies where lachesis only had a housing
(and access to probably every network available on the planet and possibly every other planet and universe as well)
clotho had a torso and even something like arms
but she was far more bound than lachesis
we only encountered her on another earth where vulcanus ruled
it was called new vesuvius
i cant recall if that was the world or just america
they had summarily executed every import that had arrived to that world
so by the time we arrived clotho perhaps saw some kindred spirits
prisoners and weapons like she was
she seemed guilty for failing to save them
so she aided us in escaping from that world
i still think she may be in play and have no doubt her bonds were restored
shes the only porter ive encountered that could legitimately be controlled and was

and atropos came at the end
as a deathbringer must
i feel like vulcanus must have called her somehow
its the only way i can think to explain how their operatives were waiting for us when she came
which means they went so far to rid us from their world that they decided that destroying that world was their only recourse
perhaps they didnt want it anymore after they made their own perfect world in new vesuvius
but they couldnt leave well enough alone either
so the goddess came and bit the world in half in the most literal way possible
she swallowed the city whole and left us to wander in its ruis for a week while vulcanus tried to pick us off
until lachesis had exerted herself for long enough that we could escape to this world

Lachesis is in this world. However, no longer on the Porter. There is someone else there, now.

Who do you think it's controlling it now?
I have been wondering about that a lot, who is powerful enough to kick Lachesis out, or who is powerful enough to let her out and take her place. I don't know Lachesis, I've never spoken to her or heard her, so I can't come up with theories.

i know someone said it wasnt her in the porter anymore but i dont trust it
theres been no corroboration to that information
just a new arrival who had no context and didnt stick around very long

nonetheless i have no doubt she is still in this world
she wasnt selfless enough to rescue us without securing her own escape
but if youre talking about the secretary of defense i highly doubt thats her
there are too many mythological names about to take for granted the meaning of any of them

anyway if it isnt her in there i dont that that means whats in there is more powerful
less so if anything given how ready and able she always was to bend reality to her whims
it may not be that she was kicked out as that she took a prisoner

I don't see a reason why they'd be lying, but still. it's something to try and find out more in the future. Like a lot of things.

Do you think it's possible that Lachesis trapped Atropos in the Porter?
