[ Kitty's voice is shaky. She's shooting this video from a dark-ish room, something a little spooky - a room with a lot of display drawers in the background. ]

Sorry. I, erm - I suppose this seems almost - copycattish, 'cause Rincewind - just the other day -

[ She takes a shaky breath, and gives a little shake of her head, like she's denying the complete and utter stupidity of her previous statement. ]

I'm in my garage - the apartment Satya used to live in - and I found...Anyway. If you find bad things - like, really bad things - like, bits of...people...You're not supposed to touch them, yeah? Or anything.

[ And then she runs a hand through her hair and bites out: ]

[ Kitty's eyes go wide, and she goes a little pale. Her voice gets softer. But although she's horrified, she's not...shocked. ]

...When I was Mickens, I broke into the garage. Went into her apartment and tried to steal some of her jewelry. She's got a secret compartment in the back of her closet. It lets into a hollowed space where she could go to - molt.

[and keep bodies.]

[ Kitty takes a sharp little breath. A pause, and then she lets it out again. ]

I...found the compartment. That's where these...things are. These - trophies. I think they're trophies.

[shifting]

Could also just be leftovers. Either way - I'm sorry you found out like this. That it happened at all.

[ She shakes her head. ]

I guess I sort of knew. But I had thought it was just...something that happened when she lost control. Her getting violent.

We'd talked about it. There was always a disconnect in Saya. She told me once she had no empathy. It just wasn't somethin' her species experienced.

Something that...I don't get it. How can a species not experience empathy?

I don't know. I guess if they aren't real social, don't raise their own young... it'd sorta make sense. I had trouble believin' her at the time.

Well...What is her species?

A spider? Mostly? In some ways she was like other weres I've met, but in others she was... real damn unique.
