There's a point to that. My powers aren't your powers, and my experiences won't be yours.

For example, I used to have a power that may have been some sort of telepathy, but it only applied to bringing up subjects that other people hated. Was it useful? Only if I wanted to make someone angry.

And before you ask, no, I'm not kidding.
