Are we... really back on Earth?

[ There's a pause, almost silence as he thinks about what he wants to say next. He was going to have to figure things out first. There was a lot different then he remembered -- which had to mean it wasn't their Earth. But was that possible? ]

I guess I should introduce myself. [ That's something Shiro would say right? Ugh. Terrible idea. ] My name is Keith, and I'm a Paladin of Voltron.

Does anyone even know what Voltron is? This was a stupid idea. [ He mutters to himself, unfortunately just loud enough for the microphone to pick up. ]

Yeah man, Pidge too. I mean Hunk has been here even longer, but that's like...a whole other thing.

[He frowns, before leaning into the camera. He drops his voice to a whisper as if what he's going to say is some big secret. Hint: It's really not.]

Dude, what happened like...right before you got here? Last thing you remember...?

[ Adachi let out a rude noise. ]

There was some annoying guy claiming to be a paladin last month. Kinda lame, still thought finger guns were cool. Dunno if he's still around though.

[He knows that voice, the same one as his roommate when he'd first arrived here. It's a bit hopeful, the way his voice raises up when he asks for confirmation.]


I-I mean. Yes, you are on Earth. It might not be the Earth of your dimension, though.

Uh. ....do I know you?

[ And why does he sound so excited to hear his voice? ]

So I've gathered. My Earth or not it's... kind of nice to be back. [ After the hell he just went through? It was like a small blessing. despite the fact they still needed to take out Zarkon. ]

My name's Gran. Do you recognize that name?

[It's funny how Keith's answer right there says it all. It stings a little in his heart, but it's not something he's going to try and express outwardly. He needed more clues, more confirmation. The man's new to this place, probably ripped straight out of a less-than-convenient point in time, and doesn't need to be confused even further. Although he can't help but keep that hopeful tone, maybe saying his name would trigger something...]

Well, that's one of the more positive reactions I've seen to an arrival here. Nostalgia can be a huge comfort.

There have been people who've spoken about Voltron before. [you included, mate] So anybody who's listened should know about it.

I wouldn't necessarily say you are "back" on Earth, though.

Well that's not surprising, actually. [ Of course not. They probably either used it to try and find each other or to indicate they were peaceful. ]

What would you call it then?

On Earth, but a separate Earth. Alternate dimension, warping, whatever you'd like to call it.

I take it this is your first time here. But you aren't the first "Keith Kogane" this world has seen.

Whether it's a stupid idea or not, you've already asked what you wanted to ask. At this point, you might do well to just embrace it.

Of course, I don't personally see the harm in asking after things you're familiar with. Being ported in can be... difficult.

You broadcast it to the entire network, so yes, I did. Look, if I hadn't met someone familiar in person when I arrived, I would have gone to the network to ask next. Once you've gotten all your paperwork sorted, it doesn't take terribly long to adjust to this planet.

[ Pidge turns the camera to show Green sitting at her side and the lion gives a roar of welcome. ] She says 'hi'.

No one here knows of Voltron. And I am sure the others have told you, but I have been informed that this is not the Earth that you are familiar with.

[ Suddenly he's 100% glad he isn't using video right now. ]

Princess. [ He pauses, trying to think of what to say. He's not sure what kind of ground they're on but she seems happy to hear his voice? ] Yeah. I've figured that out pretty quickly. It's a little strange to hear though.

[She couldn't help notice the way he was being cautious over his wording and was being a little indecisive; at least, that's how she observes it as.]

Hey there, Keith! I'm Nike. Like you, I guess you can say I was just as confused about my surroundings too when I first arrived. Everything was so different unlike home. It can be a little unnerving, huh? [Yes, she'll just not answer any of his questions since she's so very unhelpful.]
