I can figure out how to use those machines later… At least this one is easier to use.

[The communicator is on the floor, initially only showing what appears to be a bucket of soapy water with a washboard in it… But, then it’s adjusted slightly, and there’s Sukuyo, smiling. She keeps her attention on it as she starts washing clothes in the bucket, as if this is something she’s more than used to.]

Ah, I hope none of my new housemates mind, but I took the liberty of cleaning up a little! I mopped the floors, washed the windows, made the beds… [Yes, House 30, she went in everyone’s room. Everyone’s. And it’s obvious that she didn’t do just that, as she lifts up whatever she was cleaning on the washboard… and it’s underwear. Your underwear? Probably.] I’m doing the laundry, too! You can’t be a superhero without clean clothes!

If any other house is behind on their chores, I'd be more than willing to help out! This is what a housewife does!

Roughly an hour later (she got lost), there is a brisk knock at the door of house 28.]

[Wally THROWS OPEN THE DOOR and looks at her like she's the second coming of Jesus.

He grabs her hands between his.]

Thank you. You're saving my life here, literally. [Because Wally swore he would clean up the mess he made in the living room and kitchen before Levi got back to the house and it's...not even close to being done.]

[housenurse]

Ah, it's no trouble at all!

[And then she sort of peeks behind him and... Yep. Well, it shouldn't take that long. It's nothing compared to the destruction her husband and son wreak daily, after all.]

Eh... Your roommate did this? [Because that's how she interpreted the message.]

[runningstart]

What?

Oh- yyyyeah, totally. [Only because if he owns up to it she might not clean it up and he kind of needs her to. Or just wants real bad, and interprets that as need.]

[housenurse]

Hmm. [Her son is a little punk. She knows when she's being lied to.

But, that's less important than dealing with this mess. So, she'll just kick off her shoes outside and push past him into the living room, immediately getting to work. She picks up trash and clothes, sorts everything into piles, takes a little rag out of her apron and starts wiping down tables...]

Do you know where the vacuum is? [Probably not, but she might as well ask.]

[SURPRISE, he does know where it is! And he'll even bring it out for her, because it's surprisingly uncomfortable watching someone else clean your house for you. He'd thought it would be awesome. It's not as awesome as he was hoping it would be.

He even kind of gets in the way, trying to fold some of the clothes piled up on the couch and making a general nuisance of himself.]

[housenurse]

[She doesn't seem mad that he keeps getting in her way; in fact, she seems downright pleased about it.]

See, it's not that hard at all, is it?

[TEENAGE SCOFF]

C'mon, I can fold clothes. [it's the everything else he didn't want to do]

[housenurse]

Yes, you're doing a good job. [Not really, but she can lie a little to save that teeny bit of progress.] But, none of this is really hard to do. It's just a matter of actually doing it.

That's easy for you to say! You're a mom this is like your job. I'm pretty good at my job but my workplace skills aren't gonna help me organize this stuff. [right because wally's sole problem is that he's not organized]

[housenurse]

Hmph. I wasn't born a mom, you know! I had to learn how to do everything all by myself. But, being a housewife is about dedication, and that's why I'm as skilled as you see today!

[Hmm...] What's your job? You don't know if they could be useful or not.

[runningstart]

[BUT WALLY DOESN'T WANT TO ME A MOM HE'S NOT READY]

I'm an assistant at a chem lab. Part-time. [because they won't give him full-time, dang labor laws]

[housenurse]

Well, then you're used to handling dangerous chemicals!

You can do the laundry.

[runningstart]

[SIIIGH. Still, he's much more inclined to do something when a sweet little housewife asks him than he is when Levi comes swinging in with a baseball bat, so he grabs a bunch of clothes to take to the washer.

Doesn't even separate them. Just jeans, reds, delicates, all together.]

[housenurse]

[She doesn't say a word when he does this.

Lessons such as these are best learned hands-on.]
