( This has been on her mind for a while; the viewer can tell. Anyone who has met or known Kara Danvers will know that she's more prone to smiling than frowning. But she is, teeth sinking into her lower lip, that telltale crinkle between her furrowed brows as she looks up, regarding her audience solemnly. )

So I... I uh. Said and did some pretty awful things during that dream world. Thing.

( Shaking her head, she glances away. )

And I need to apologize for that, to all of you. That was way out of line. I'm not sure how or if I can make it up to those of you I've hurt or been rude to, but I'd like to try.

( With baby steps. Looking back at the camera, her features ease, and she rubs the bridge of her nose. )

Does anybody want ice cream? My treat. I'll start with that.

[Crane's fingers slip under his chin, lifting his face up. He seems curious about what she's saying. It comes out in the way he rubs his jaw, the way he opens his half-closed eyes and watches her.]

You speak like you had command of your actions.

[A twitch happens in the corner of his mouth, like he's trying to smile or something.]

Nobody did, I'm afraid. Nobody blameless, anyway. It may surprise you to hear this, but there's nothing to apologize for.

( If she hadn't been put under the influence of red kryptonite before, if she hadn't seen her sister's broken arm and heartbroken expression once before, maybe. Maybe she could get on board with that line of thinking.

But she had. And she can't get it out of her head, no matter how different these situations truly were. Kara shakes her head, smiling faintly. )

You're awfully generous to say so, and thank you for being so understanding. The world doesn't... tend to be, though.

You and everyone else. But it isn't really worth agonizing over, it was only a dream. There's plenty I did within it that I wouldn't have in the real world, particularly because things in dreams just don't matter as much.

( She's been trapped in a false dream before. What she'd seen still matters to her, personally. She heaves a soft sigh. )

Well, it was someone else in charge of the dream, meaning it wasn't really a reflection of who we are outside of it, and nothing that happened there would have genuine consequences in the real world. Of course, most of you didn't realize that while you were dreaming, but that doesn't mean that who you were there says anything about who you really are.

[ Which is why she had to spend so long yelling at people to get them to realize how ot of character they were acting. Not that it did any good. ] I spent a great deal of time being shot while we were dreaming, but I don't hold it against any single individual who pulled the trigger.

I think, if it reflects on anyone, it will be the one who crafted the dream. They not only created the situation, but I'm sure the roles we all slotted into must have been a result of their influence.

[He remembers their friendship and alliance in the dream world, as well as the level of understanding she had always shown him. Understanding, even when she saw how dark he could be.

She didn't judge. If that was created in the dream world or was real, he didn't know, but it at least made it easier to answer her.]

[She wasn't responsible, despite what she might fear. She hadn't done anything that was deserving of guilt, certainly not to this extent.]

I don't know if I would call if I was brave in that world. I didn't seem to feel anything.

( But yes, he does, since she's already offered hers. Kara raises an eyebrow, and ends up smiling a little. )

You're forgiven. I've been through something like that before. It changed my personality, and made me do crazy things. I know that wasn't either of us in there.

But, uh. Where did you get that kryptonite from?

Ugh. That happens to, like, all superheroes at some point. I'm pretty sure it's just a rite of passage by now. And I, uh, try to tell the Kryptonians I meet in a... better way? Because it's kind of a long story.

[ Jaime reaches one hand up to rub at the back of his neck. Peej had a fit at him about the whole Kryptonite ordeal, and Clark hadn't done much better. ]

I can radiate it. The suit, it's, um, calibrated to deal with any kind of threat, from any planet. I'm not the one who made it, so it just sort of came with the package. If it means anything, I'd only whip it out if one of you guys got mind controlled again.

[ something barry allen dislikes: feeling like he's given up and thus fulfilled oliver's non-serious prophecy that he's failed his own city. he hasn't let himself dwell on the fact that he had failed not only himself but someone else. ]

[ of course, barry's tardy to this particular message. he wouldn't be himself if he wasn't. (perhaps the prophecy foretold by oliver that he's always meant to fulfil is that: be the fastest man alive when it counts, but the slowest for every other thing.) ]

[ barry's on his couch, hoodie over his head, and at first he's brought his phone too close to his face when he's switched his video on. pulling away eventually, he holds it at a distance. he's all bright and positivity, beaming a little more brightly than he had in that dream world. if barry's weighed down by anything, he doesn't show it. ]

( Kara's grasped decently since her visit to Earth-1 just how alike the two of them can be in terms of personality. And she'd seen how down he had been in that dreamworld, hiding away, with about as much will to fight as she'd had to hope. She doesn't mention anything right now, because this isn't a private feed. It's none of this world's business, and frankly, she feels weird bringing it up anyway.

So, she beams at the too-close image of him, and even giggles a little. ) I swear I saw up your nose for a second there!

( Her features soften, though, and she nods. )

For you? Always. I'm in Heropa right now, but I can take it to go... unless you want to meet in the middle.

[He smiles, not realizing that this Kara and the one that knows his secret identity, while technically the same, aren't one and the same.]

I think it's safe to say most people in the dream were on their worst behavior. And at the end of the day, the dream was just that, a dream. I don't think we can hold people accountable for things they didn't actually do.

[...Not that the whole ordeal hadn't left him with heaps of nightmare fuel.]

That said, I wouldn't mind going dutch on that ice cream offer.

No. ( Her lips twitch, until she makes a faint smile. ) I'm apologizing because I kind of made an ass of myself.

Was it? This isn't the first time something's made me go crazy or be stuck inside a dream world. I can't look back on this and say i did nothing wrong. And I don't blame anybody else, but I feel pretty bad about the things I said in there.

Not just to you, too.

( There, they definitely have something in common. Slowly, her smile brightens, growing warmer. )
