A friend of mine has a crystal I need, but I don't want to take hers. If there's a way for me to duplicate it somehow, or find a way to have part of it grow into a new crystal structure, it would be really helpful.

From the very basic research I've been able to do at the library, it seems there are certain chemicals that duplicate the compounds of the crystal itself when submerged in a chemical bath. But not sure how it would apply to these sorts of crystals given they aren't native to the planet.
