[ Not wanting anybody to see his face, Kylo switches the video off before pressing record. He takes a deep breath, not really satisfied with having to do this - he should be able to find out more about this place and find the people he is looking for without any assistance - but this place is large and this seems much more efficient. The technology is outdated, the small device similar to a datapad but much less useful and without a holo function. This must be something that pre-dates his parents, his grandparents, even. ]

This place, I'm not familiar with it. It's not where I'm supposed to be, not even in our galaxy, yet...

[ He pauses, taking a breath, giving himself a moment to gather his thoughts and center himself. There are Force users here, more than one, and he's certain of it. He'll search every city until he finds them, burn them down, kill them all until he finds what he's looking for. However, if anybody can give him any information, save him from traveling through each city until he finds them... ]

Tell me where Skywalker and Solo are. I know they're here, I can feel it.

I have seen two. One is this Luke of who you speak and the other he said was his father. Anakin Skywalker.

I had met this Jedi before but it appears that many here are from my... future. Much has changed.

[ No, this can't be right. Count Dooku, General Grievous, names that haven't been spoken in ages are present, talking to Kylo. But Anakin-- He's not a Force ghost but a physical being actually present on this planet? How can any of this be possible? ]

I'm from your future as well, twenty four years after the Clone Wars. [ A pause ] How many others from your future are here?

There may be half a dozen yet I have only arrived very recently and there may be more.

Who are you and what do you want with any Skywalker?

[Even if the name of Kylo Ren does appear as an ID, that means nothing to him.]

I am Kylo Ren, master of the Knights of Ren, and what I want with the Skywalkers is of no concern to you.

[ Just because he knows who Grievous is doesn't mean he's willing to spill all of his information during their first conversation. ]

I have been told that only one Jedi remains in the future. Are you affiliated with them?

[There's a distinct disdain in his question.]

[ That's a complicated question, General, and one he isn't willing to answer at the moment. ]

I'm not. [ A half truth ] I've been looking for him, myself. He's a coward, ran from his family and isolated himself without word. There is nobody in the galaxy that knows his location.

I did not think that Jedi are supposed to have any family.

Jedi are not allowed to marry, but they certainly have other family. Neither my mother nor my father were Jedi.

[ It may be better had Luke had no family, but that's neither here nor there. ]
