[ Not wanting anybody to see his face, Kylo switches the video off before pressing record. He takes a deep breath, not really satisfied with having to do this - he should be able to find out more about this place and find the people he is looking for without any assistance - but this place is large and this seems much more efficient. The technology is outdated, the small device similar to a datapad but much less useful and without a holo function. This must be something that pre-dates his parents, his grandparents, even. ]

This place, I'm not familiar with it. It's not where I'm supposed to be, not even in our galaxy, yet...

[ He pauses, taking a breath, giving himself a moment to gather his thoughts and center himself. There are Force users here, more than one, and he's certain of it. He'll search every city until he finds them, burn them down, kill them all until he finds what he's looking for. However, if anybody can give him any information, save him from traveling through each city until he finds them... ]

Tell me where Skywalker and Solo are. I know they're here, I can feel it.

[ An unfamiliar name, asking for his friends, saying he can "feel" them? This guy throws up all sorts of red flags for Lando. So much so that he doesn't want to respond with anything other than text. Voice feels like giving too much away. ]

How about you tell us why you're looking for them?

[ Kylo felt the presence of his father and uncle, but Lando? No, Lando Calrissian isn't a name he's thought about in years, not since Ben Solo became Kylo Ren. He quickly types back a short reply, not interested in too much conversation, but a bit curious despite himself. ]

I know both of them. I know you, too. Tell me where they are.

[It's not that he's trying to hide who he is, because he doesn't really care, and he can't exactly hide a droid voice anyway.]

"Please" might be a nice start.

[ Please isn't a word in Kylo Ren's vocabulary. ]

Please? [ He snorts. ] I can take whatever I want. I'm not here to be polite.

[ ...oh now who the heck was this now?! He didn't recognize the name, and he wasn't sure how to feel about being called out by his last name by someone that wouldn't show his face. And... "I can feel it"? ]

[ Normally he would just leave this to Lando and Kay, but this was something he needed to address with talk like that. Besides, he really wanted to know who Han pissed off this time and apparently dragged him into. He chose to answer with video, hoping that maybe trying to reach out with his image would be helpful. ]

[ Kylo has no intention of showing his face, not yet. He responds simply with voice, wishing he had his mask and voice modulator with him. The face he's looking at is not what he expected, not at all. Instead, it's what he remembers of his Uncle from childhood, what he's seen in holos showing him standing alongside his mother and father during the victory celebration on Yavin 4. No, this isn't right.

This isn't right at all. ]

I've been looking for you. I felt your presence as soon as I arrived.

[The voice that answers this post is a deep, rich bass- the voice of a politician, or an aristocrat (or both, in this case.)]

You can sense their presence on this world?

[Another Force user, then. And not a Jedi, if his manners are anything to go by.]

[ Kylo knew, at this point, that there were others here, people from different points in time, but he had no idea he'd be in the presence of a Sith Lord. ]

I can. I felt their presence as soon as I arrived. I've felt others, people I've never met who are like me. [ A pause ] Do you know where Skywalker is?

[He only answers because a certain name catches his attention.]

Due to some anomaly in time there are two Skywalkers here. Which one are you referring to?

Two Skywalkers?

[ That can't be right. Kylo did feel the presence of other Force users, ones he's never met before, but he brushed it off, only interested in finding Luke at the moment. ]

I'm looking for Luke Skywalker. Who is the other you speak of?

[audio]

I'm right here. Who's asking?

[Han's voice comes in suspicious and wary, despite the casual tone he uses. He doesn't say anything about Luke, or even Vader—probably a futile effort, but Han doesn't quite trust this voice just yet. Call it a bad feeling.

To Kylo Ren, Han's voice might sound impossibly young—still gruff, but not quite as roughened by time and age and loss just yet.]

[ No, this isn't right. This isn't right at all. That's not how he remembers his father sounding during their final conversation. It's lighter, younger, the voice he remembers hearing as a young child on board the Millennium Falcon alongside his dad and Chewie.

He shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be anywhere; his body was lost, destroyed when Starkiller Base imploded. ]

I watched you fall-- [ I shoved my lightsaber through your chest ] You should be dead.

[Voice]

[Kylo Ren too is sensed, but he is a mystery to Anakin. The last part sets him on edge and he cannot keep silent watch.]

Which Skywalker?

[Voice]

[ Anakin's life is about to change, and it's undecided now if that change will be for the better or worse. Kylo spent hours of his time on the Finalizer asking his grandfather for help, reaching out to him, trying to become as powerful as he had once been.

And to finally meet him? Meet the man that will become Darth Vader? Dreams really do come true. ]

Luke. [ A pause ] I've been looking for him.

I'm afraid I don't recognize either of those names.

As for where you're supposed to be, I've found no one here cares much about that.

[ Responding to his request without pertinent information is both a waste of Kylo's time and a mild annoyance. He wants to locate these two men as quickly as possible - unfinished business and the like - and this? This is nothing but a hindrance. ]

If you have no information to share about this place or information regarding the two men I'm looking for, you had no reason to respond to me.

If you don't know who I'm looking for, then why did you waste both your time and mine responding to my question?

[ Kylo can't deal with this. ]

[Hux had seen the announcement over the network but decided that the last thing they needed was a record of them yelling at each other over an unsecured network.]

So did you find them?

[He wants to at least have a heads up to what's going on.]

[ Hux isn't somebody Kylo wants to be dealing with at the moment, but he has no choice seeing as Hux came in the room unannounced. ]

This isn't the Finalizer, you can't barge into a space that doesn't belong to you unannounced as you did on board your own ship.

[ Please try to have some decency, Hux. ]

Why didn't you tell me there were others from our galaxy in this place? I've spoken with other Force users as well as a general from the Clone Wars.

[ Kylo switches the camera off again to reply, not quite ready to show his face to those he knows or to those he doesn't know. Replying to this girl is a waste of his time, time that could be spent looking for Luke, Han, the other Force users; he doesn't think she'll be particularly useful for getting any additional information on their surrounding, either.

But, sometimes people can be surprising. ]

Yet we've found ourselves here against our wills. Why do you think that is?

[ Questions like that weren't answered when he arrived, the only answer being given that he didn't have a choice. ]

I'm not surprised. I'm not supposed to be here, either.

[But something almost seems... off. Maybe it's his manners.]

Were you pulled away at an odd hour, too?

[ It wasn't necessarily an odd hour, just extremely poor timing for whatever powers that be. Kylo Ren had been rescued from the imploding Starkiller Base, was on his way to meet with Leader Snoke, and then suddenly he's being introduced to this place, given a rundown of the world, and sent on his way. ]

An extremely inconvenient hour.

[ Yes, he can continue his mission here considering Skywalker is here as well, but he needs guidance and he can't exactly get that when his master isn't here. ]

[Talk of "our galaxy" makes her think of home, makes her wonder ..

But the tone of his voice and the underlying electrical current of his words, the way he practically spits out the names Skywalker and Solo as though they're venom on his tongue makes Jyn debate long and hard of whether to engage him. Eventually, she decides to do so - though not without the added insurance of an alias.]

Let me guess - another Force user? [Kriff. For all the legends her mother used to tell her, she'd have never guessed they'd all been ported here through some weird sort of metaphysical glitch. No wonder they were extinct back home.]

[ A response such as that one still catches Kylo off guard despite the fact that this is not the first or second person he's spoken with who knows what the Force is. He's cautious in responding, though, doesn't know who this person is and why they know about the Force.

There's no telling what his family has told others in this place about the Force, about their abilities, so he treads lightly. ]

What do you know about the Force?

[ He decides not to answer her question. Not now, anyway ]
