Intro - [ voice ]
[ Not wanting anybody to see his face, Kylo switches the video off before pressing record. He takes a deep breath, not really satisfied with having to do this - he should be able to find out more about this place and find the people he is looking for without any assistance - but this place is large and this seems much more efficient. The technology is outdated, the small device similar to a datapad but much less useful and without a holo function. This must be something that pre-dates his parents, his grandparents, even. ]
This place, I'm not familiar with it. It's not where I'm supposed to be, not even in our galaxy, yet...

[Hux moved into Kylo's room, wrinkling his nose at the clothes on the floor. Nothing was in order, it made him twitch but he wasn't going to start picking up after him. He sat down on the desk chair, crossing his legs.]
General information, he's holding back a great deal for now but it's to be expected. But he may be the best option we have as an ally but I want to see what else he is willing to disclose to me.
[Hux looked out the window for a moment, thoughtful before finally shaking his head.] There are several things I want to ask him but, that is a matter for later.
[He looked back at Kylo, frowning.] What do you think of Dooku so far? I know you have your...Force sense, however it works. What do you pick up?

That's not how the Force works.
[ Taking a breath, Kylo tries to remain calm. ]
I knew there were other Force users here, and I know he draws his strength through the Dark Side of the Force, but I haven't had any contact with Dooku outside of one discussion using this communicator. [ A pause ] And were we speaking face to face, he isn't like the weak minded individuals I've searched for information.

[It was the best option that he could determine considering that they were surrounded by rebels.]
All I know of him is what I learned from holos and stories from my father but I have no doubt that he is not weak minded or is he to be underestimated. We have to be careful around him.

You need to be careful around him. I have no doubt that he is powerful, but I'm trained in ways you are not. I know how to handle another Force user despite never having battled a Sith Lord before. [ He pauses. ] Hopefully things will not escalate to that level between us, but I'm not sure what my connection with the Skywalkers will mean in his eyes.

No, I mean you as well. I don't need the Force to be able to determine that you should be wary of someone you don't know especially when they are a Sith Lord with as much experience as I'm sure Dooku has. How many Sith Lords have you actually even met? [Hux was willing to bet that number was zero unless Snoke was one but he didn't wait for Ren to answer before moving on.] I hope not as well, but Anakin Skywalker fought for the Republic during the Clone Wars so I'm not sure what it will mean either.
[Hux felt a faint ache between his eyes, he would have to see if they had coffee later.] We also need to figure out what to do about day to day matters.

Day to day matters? [ A pause ] What do you mean by day to day matters?

Chores. Dishes, cooking, cleaning, laundry. As I'm sure even you noticed there aren't any droids around for those tasks. And I assume I don't have to tell you I'm not going to just do it all either.

You act as if those are simple things for either of us to do. When was the last time you prepared a meal for yourself? Am I to assume you already know how to operate all of the equipment we have as well?

And I'm sure we can figure out the technology here eventually. [The lie came easily without any indication in his expression or tone. He was not ready to simply divulge his new abilities to Kylo just yet or admit that he had already acquainted himself with some of the appliances in the house.
Besides, he wanted to watch Kylo struggle.] Just try not to take your lightsaber to any of it when you inevitably get frustrated.

[ Kylo folds his arms across his chest as he looks at Hux, irritated with the General, though this is nothing new. He knows Hux is lying to him, hiding something, he can feel it, but he's going to keep that to himself for now, continue their conversation about household duties. ]
Answer my question. When was the last time you prepared a meal for yourself? When have you ever cooked, cleaned, or washed a dirty dish?
[ Lucky for Kylo, he's done all of those things... It's just been several years since he's done any of it so his skills may be a bit rusty. ]

In the five years we've worked together I've never seen you do any of things either.
[At this rate, he believed it would be easier sharing space with an angry loth-cat.]
Can you even cook?

[ Not that any of those things were particularly healthy, but he does know his way around a kitchen if need be. The Millennium Falcon didn't have the droids that the Finalizer did, they had to do it themselves if they wanted it done. And, as a result, Ben was taught how to cook, clean, survive by his dad and Chewie. At home, Leia also made sure that Ben pulled his weight around the house, regardless of whether or not they had droids to take care of basic chores. ]

What do we do about the child that also lives in this house?
[action]
[Hux wasn't going to take on that task, he had no interest in doing anything of the sort. He suspected that having free time was going to grate on him but he had no interest in taking are of a child.]
I have enough to deal with concerning the rebels here.

[ Kylo has no intention of ever caring for a child, but he also knows they can't conduct business as they would on board the Finalizer with a child also living in the home. They need to be vigilant, watch where they speak and what they speak of. ]
We must remain cautious while the child is home. I know you have quite a lot to deal with since you've decided to involve yourself with the rebels here, and I'll be handling my family, but we can't discuss these things with the child around.

[It would give him more of a peace of mind.]
I agree, when the child is around we will meet in one of our rooms, that is the best option we have at the moment. I'll look into other housing as well, we want to make sure to select somewhere that won't be close to where any rebels may be living as well.
