[ Not wanting anybody to see his face, Kylo switches the video off before pressing record. He takes a deep breath, not really satisfied with having to do this - he should be able to find out more about this place and find the people he is looking for without any assistance - but this place is large and this seems much more efficient. The technology is outdated, the small device similar to a datapad but much less useful and without a holo function. This must be something that pre-dates his parents, his grandparents, even. ]

This place, I'm not familiar with it. It's not where I'm supposed to be, not even in our galaxy, yet...

[ He pauses, taking a breath, giving himself a moment to gather his thoughts and center himself. There are Force users here, more than one, and he's certain of it. He'll search every city until he finds them, burn them down, kill them all until he finds what he's looking for. However, if anybody can give him any information, save him from traveling through each city until he finds them... ]

Tell me where Skywalker and Solo are. I know they're here, I can feel it.

[ Don't think for one second that he buys that, because he doesn't, but he'll play along for the time being. Sure, people know the stories, but the stories only go so far... And for somebody to just assume, right out of the gate, that he's a Force user?

Yeah, she's not fooling him at all. ]

Of course, they're stories we've all heard from childhood. It surprises me, though, that your first thought is that I'm a Force user when this world is filled with so many others from so many different galaxies.

[ Oh, Jyn. ]

Knowing that there are others from my own galaxy is... comforting. [ A pause ] You must recognize those names if you're familiar with the stories.

There are - were? - those who hadn't ever heard of the Force, in any of its varieties. They weren't nearly as common as those who'd heard the stories and the legends, of course, but - the Force managed to not touch every part of the galaxy.

[Her tone changes to a bit more amused, but not in a frivolous way.]

If you'd asked, 'what is the Force?,' the conversation would've been a bit different.

I've yet to determine whether it's comforting or not. Depends on which side of the fight you were on.
