[ Not wanting anybody to see his face, Kylo switches the video off before pressing record. He takes a deep breath, not really satisfied with having to do this - he should be able to find out more about this place and find the people he is looking for without any assistance - but this place is large and this seems much more efficient. The technology is outdated, the small device similar to a datapad but much less useful and without a holo function. This must be something that pre-dates his parents, his grandparents, even. ]

This place, I'm not familiar with it. It's not where I'm supposed to be, not even in our galaxy, yet...

[ He pauses, taking a breath, giving himself a moment to gather his thoughts and center himself. There are Force users here, more than one, and he's certain of it. He'll search every city until he finds them, burn them down, kill them all until he finds what he's looking for. However, if anybody can give him any information, save him from traveling through each city until he finds them... ]

Tell me where Skywalker and Solo are. I know they're here, I can feel it.

[ Hux can't be serious, can he? Chores? When was the last time either of them had to do anything such as dishes, cooking, cleaning, laundry, anything like that? Twenty years, at least, maybe more. ]

You act as if those are simple things for either of us to do. When was the last time you prepared a meal for yourself? Am I to assume you already know how to operate all of the equipment we have as well?

You always brag about your abilities, this is your opportunity to prove that you're more than some idiot flailing around with a lightsaber. I'm sure you won't let yourself be daunted by the idea of washing a few dishes.

And I'm sure we can figure out the technology here eventually. [The lie came easily without any indication in his expression or tone. He was not ready to simply divulge his new abilities to Kylo just yet or admit that he had already acquainted himself with some of the appliances in the house.

Besides, he wanted to watch Kylo struggle.] Just try not to take your lightsaber to any of it when you inevitably get frustrated.

You know I'm more than some idiot flailing around with a lightsaber, General. You've worked with me for over five years, now.

[ Kylo folds his arms across his chest as he looks at Hux, irritated with the General, though this is nothing new. He knows Hux is lying to him, hiding something, he can feel it, but he's going to keep that to himself for now, continue their conversation about household duties. ]

Answer my question. When was the last time you prepared a meal for yourself? When have you ever cooked, cleaned, or washed a dirty dish?

[ Lucky for Kylo, he's done all of those things... It's just been several years since he's done any of it so his skills may be a bit rusty. ]

I can make my bed and keep my quarters clean. You know how star destroyers are, it's not possible to cook or do laundry without the assistance of droids. At least, not if I want to get anything done.

In the five years we've worked together I've never seen you do any of things either.

[At this rate, he believed it would be easier sharing space with an angry loth-cat.]

Can you even cook?

I can cook. I haven't had a need to cook for myself since I've been living on the Finalizer, but my father taught me how to cook several things as a child.

[ Not that any of those things were particularly healthy, but he does know his way around a kitchen if need be. The Millennium Falcon didn't have the droids that the Finalizer did, they had to do it themselves if they wanted it done. And, as a result, Ben was taught how to cook, clean, survive by his dad and Chewie. At home, Leia also made sure that Ben pulled his weight around the house, regardless of whether or not they had droids to take care of basic chores. ]

Do you need me to teach you, General?

Very well. I'll teach you how to do laundry and clean- [He gave Kylo's room a pointed glance, raising his eyebrows at seeing some clothes on the floor before looking back at him.] - and you can teach me out to cook.

[ This is either going to work wonderfully or be quite the disaster and, unfortunately, Kylo believes it will likely be the latter. Neither man is cut out for an average life, a life stuck on a planet with primitive technology, without war, without everything they've both been a part of since birth. ]

What do we do about the child that also lives in this house?

We have no responsibility for the child. It's up to them to take care of themselves.

[Hux wasn't going to take on that task, he had no interest in doing anything of the sort. He suspected that having free time was going to grate on him but he had no interest in taking are of a child.]

I have enough to deal with concerning the rebels here.

I know that! I'm not going to care for a child!

[ Kylo has no intention of ever caring for a child, but he also knows they can't conduct business as they would on board the Finalizer with a child also living in the home. They need to be vigilant, watch where they speak and what they speak of. ]

We must remain cautious while the child is home. I know you have quite a lot to deal with since you've decided to involve yourself with the rebels here, and I'll be handling my family, but we can't discuss these things with the child around.

As soon as we're able to we should look into getting our own housing.

[It would give him more of a peace of mind.]

I agree, when the child is around we will meet in one of our rooms, that is the best option we have at the moment. I'll look into other housing as well, we want to make sure to select somewhere that won't be close to where any rebels may be living as well.
