[So. There's something a little different this time, when Yuu turns his phone on and records. He's paler than usual. His eyes are still that same vivid green that probably stand out all the more amid his dark mop of hair, and it might be debatable if his now slightly pointed ears can be seen underneath said mop of hair. But it wouldn't be so easy to hide his fangs as he speaks.

Which is precisely the reason he's addressing the network. Not the least because it's sort of meant he's been a bit of a homebody/hermit during the day for the most part while he's been adjusting to the 'now being a vampire' thing. There's a possibly familiar head of blond hair next to him, Mika sticking close as usual, but moreso recently in keeping an eye on Yuichiro in all this. But there's a wave, possibly a little faster than Yuu intends, not to mention the glimpse of his fangs as he smiles almost sheepishly.]

So ah, hey everyone?

I guess this is kind of half an announcement and half...I dunno, questions time or whatever. I kind of took up an offer from someone and. Well, now I'm a vampire myself. So if people have missed me at school or work, that's why. If people want to ask questions or lecture me or whatever, go ahead. But I was just wondering, if anyone else had changed too. Either here or back home. Not necessarily with being a vampire, but. How you guys adjusted? I have Mika helping, and I already knew the basics. It's just the little things that keep tripping me up. Not to mention my hearing now, but it's mostly my strength.

[He rubs a hand through his hair at the back of his neck, glancing to the side for a moment. This isn't easy. Nike already knows. But none of his other friends. He figures this being the easiest way to go about letting everyone know. Even if he's keeping quieter about the other development from the previous month of May.]

I was figuring, I'm almost finished with school anyway. But there's those ah, what are they called, correspondence schools? That might be a better idea for now. I....I think that was about it. I'm not sure if I want to ask what I've been missing while I've been mostly adjusting to all this yet or not.

[Because there's likely been one or two things. At least. If not more.]

Well, I'd want to let a few people know. This just seems easiest. Because, like you said, everyone would figure it eventually anyway. It's not like I'm gonna tell everyone about us. But this is...this is a bigger change, so.

[It seemed easier. Not bothering to hide. It's already been a couple of weeks or so as it is. But he figures he owes an explanation, not being necessarily sure what Nike or Krul might have been saying to others on the matter, if Yuu's attendance was in question.

But he does look a little sheepish, at Mika debating on why Yuu is bothering to address the network about it. But if his control slips...people deserve to know, don't they?]

[Do they deserve to know? All of them were powerful in their own way. Is it truly anyone's business what kind of powers he has? Mika prefers having privacy, considering how little he likes being a vampire in general.]

[In fact, he still can't believe that Yuu's taking everything in stride. He looks at Yuu when he mentions them, then his gaze flickers to the transmitter in his hand.]

No. Not at the moment. Why?

[Because hadn't they talked about this? How they figured it wasn't really anyone else's business with the two of them being together? Except perhaps Nike, given her particular connection to Yuu and all. Yuu himself doesn't particularly care either way, but it is nice. Having something just between them. He shakes his head in answer, glancing from the phone to Mika through his bangs.]

Just wondering.

[The privacy is nice and Mika appreciates it, but nevertheless. He suspects that Yuu's transformation may raise a few brows. The few stories he's seen where someone was given a vampire's blood was because they were dear to the vampire. Given that Yuu only lived with two, Mika expected people to get the wrong idea sooner rather than later.]

...You're so comfortable with this. How do you do that?

How? I dunno. This...you know how much has been out of my control, Mika? Back home, and here. This was one thing that I did get to decide for myself. It's not easy, I know it's going to take a while to get used to it all, but. If this is what it takes, to stick with you, to give me time to figure things out in finding how to restore you--our humanity, to not worry about dying before I do, or my demon taking over, then.

[Then he'd do it again. No matter the stares, the questions, the lectures about it from others. Even if this was painful, would be difficult. It'd be worth it. It has to be. He'll make it worth it.

Not that he is likely considering the obviously potential implications or conclusions some might come to in knowing he and Mika were close, even without being aware of their recent development in their relationship.]

I've never met anyone as stubborn as you.

[He wraps an arm around him from behind, pulling him into a tight embrace. After those years in Sanguinem he's not quite as affection-seeking as he was, but Mika wants to go back to a time where there wasn't a risk involved with embracing someone. He rests his chin on his shoulder.]

[Yuu must already know that Mika's still upset. His body language is still tense. But having Yuu near, the same scent and voice and kindness that he loves, makes it easier to accept.]

Has your demon gone away now?

[There was a lot she wanted to say after thinking about it for some time. A good few days time. Almost a week of time. There was really a lot to say, but. Only one question will escape her in the most annoyed way possible while keeping the volume of her voice in check.]

Do you have the volume of your phone on low?

Hm? Ah, yeah. I tried to remember to turn it down before, after.....Why?

[Yuu should probably figure this to be obvious. That Nike is geared up to yell and lecture at him for what he did. When she was over in the initial aftermath, that wasn't really the time to hash things out, exactly, after all. But this is Yuu, so of course he's still initially taking a bit.]

YOU KNOW WHY! STOP ACTING DUMB!

[So said the booming voice as soon as Yuu asked her that question. She knows that he knows the reason she asked to lower the volume of their phone call. You bet she's going to yell and lecture at him. But mainly yell. A lot of yelling!]

You know very well that I will gladly accept the invitation to yell at you, you little brat! Going off to get yourself killed without a moment's notice or warning. Do you know how much trouble you made with your little stunt? How many damn heart attacks you may have caused!? How many people you made miserable with your little stunt!? And I don't care if Krul told you to shut your trap. Who gave you permission to be obedient all of a sudden like that!? You rarely do that! You rarely listen to people. And the one time you listen to someone, it is in the worse moment ever!

Listen up! In moments where life and death is concern, YOU MUST TELL SOMEONE ABOUT IT! YOU DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PERSON THAT WILL BE TAKING THE LIFE AWAY. I don't care if she will return you back to fucking life! YOU INFORM! DON'T KEEP IT SECRET UNLESS YOU WANT TO RETURN TO THE AFTERLIFE AGAIN! BECAUSE I WILL GLADLY SENT YOU THERE! I DON'T CARE IF MIKA ENDS UP HATING ME FOR IT. YOU ARE SO DEAD ONCE I GET MY HANDS ON YOU! I SIMPLY. CAN'T! BELIEVE! YOU!

[Now you may be asking the reason she has stopped yelling was due to the fact that she rain out of air. How long was that so far? 5 minutes? No, could have been 10. Who knows. She ain't counting and she ain't done yet.]

[....yup, there it is. It's only voice, but he can picture her anger all the same, hear it just as if she were in the room with him. Which. It's probably a good thing she isn't since this is already so loud he barely manages to keep hold of the phone as he jumps at the sudden volume.]

N-Nike, you -- will you just breathe for a second and let me explain? You and Mika make it sound like I always go around doing the opposite of whatever anyone tells me to just to be a brat or something. And I...I knew you and Mika would be upset. At least initially, that's why I...

[The continuum would likely mean she wouldn't be able to kill him permanently in her rage for this at least. Not to mention it being that much harder to kill him now. But still. There's a sigh, possibly a faint scratching sound as he runs a hand through his mop of hair.]

I know. Nike, I'm sorry I didn't talk to you or Mika first. It was this, know I'd end up dying eventually and leave Mika, or eventually let my demon take over. At least this way, I'll have time to figure a way to restore Mika's humanity.

[Breathing. There is some forceful breathing action while Yuu attempts to explain himself. If she could talk, she'd point out that he does like to do the opposite of anything important or when someone asks him to do or not do something.

Really, this boy! He was so stubborn!

But, really, she was going to remain quiet, even once she regained her lost breath, because she did wanted to hear him out; regardless of her yelling at him over it. She really didn't get an explanation. Which couldn't be helped. There was more important stuff for him and everyone to be more concern and focus on.]

This! What you just said. That is the very thing you should be talking about with us. With Mika, at the very least. If you couldn't talk to me about it, then you should've told him about it.

[As much as she does mind being kept out of the loop, she understands that there are issues one can't talk to an outsider about. She gets it. Mika didn't deserve to be out of the loop as she was though.]

Why didn't you? AND! If you use Krul as an excuse again, I will be adding a kick to my list of threats because that one isn't going to cut it buster! Don't even try!

I figured if she told me not to tell anyone that -- I dunno, maybe she wanted to talk to Mika about it herself. I mean, she was the one that brought it up in the first place to me. Otherwise I wouldn't have even thought...about growing older while Mika wouldn't or any of that. I know that's not much of an excuse or explanation, but. I was so stuck in my own head debating about it.

[It almost would have been easier. To talk to Nike about this, in comparison to Mika, in some ways. But all he can do now is deal with the aftermath of it. Though even that isn't easy. He can tell Mika is still upset and adjusting himself.]

[He...should probably have figured Mika and Nike wouldn't be the only ones alarmed or disapproving. Even once he explains, or tries to, as to his reasons for taking Krul up on the offer. Jacob won't be the only one. Yuu will need to get used to it.]

I--I had my reasons. I know this probably seems....crazy, since back home I was fighting them with the military and all, but. This way, I have a better chance, more time, to keep my promise to Mika.

Yuu, you're never going to get older now. Right? And you have to drink people's blood now. And you're doing this for just one person?

Y-yeah. I mean, if I can't figure keeping my promise, especially here, to help him regain his humanity, then at least this way....

[He wouldn't grow old and die. He wouldn't leave Mika alone after eventually letting his demon entirely take over. Yuu had already left Mika for years before. He doesn't want a repeat, especially this time if he'd never get to see the other again.]

I'll still age. At least, until I'd...until I'd have human blood. For now, Mika and Krul are helping me instead. But this is for myself too.

No, it's....hang on a sec.

[He fumbles for a minute, filtering the conversation so just he and Jacob could hear, though Mika too, since the other is right nearby him in their apartment.]

I'd have lost my humanity anyway. With my demon. Not like I was ever fully human to begin with. I mean, of course I want to give him his humanity back. I just can't be sure how long that would take, but with this, that gives me more time to find out. To try and keep that promise to him.

[He runs a hand through his hair, pursing his lips and glancing to the side.]

I would recommend not dropping out of school if you can avoid it. It's not just knowledge that you gain from an institution like that, but also social skills and connections.

Making friends and all, yeah, Guren, my superior back home already lectured me about all that. Nike's bringing my homework and stuff for now, at least. I'm practically finished now, I think? I turn eighteen in a few more months anyway. It's just...I'm still nervous, I guess. With crowds.

Take it slowly, A few people at a time, perhaps. Grow your tolerance to more. Your superior seems to know what they're talking about.

Yeah. It's one thing in smaller stores, quieter streets later in the evening. Another with school in classes. In between classes. Let alone college. I was kind of looking into that stuff but I dunno how likely that is now. All depends on my control, how comfortable others would be too.

If I were you, I'd contact the college and discuss your options. Maybe you could take a break and learn to control your new situation better before returning to class.

Maybe. I'd need to talk to them, see what I could do. If I want or need to go to figure what I want to do.

[Though that might be less likely now. His ideal of working at an orphange to help other kids like him and Mika who need it. It's probably unlikely that most people would trust vampires with children.]
