I made a speeder. It doesn't hover far off of the ground, but with the right propulsion, it could. Now I just need to account for atmospheric changes or we will suffocate before we get very high.

The Force could get us off the ground if we really needed to go that route. I need to know what kind of control you have and how reliable it is.

Battles I understand, but what else am I to use it for?

[ Considering most of what Kylo has done with the Force in the last five years has consisted of rather unsavory things, it's been a while since he's considered much else outside of battle, reconnaissance, assassination, torture, things like that. ]

Oh a lot of things...

Ever choked someone? Thrown them? Crushed them? What about lifting parts of ships or buildings?

Using the Force daily is like exercising a muscle. The more you use it, the more comfortable with it you become until it's purely second nature.

I used the Force often. I've choked, thrown, and crushed people. I've looked into their minds and searched their thoughts... but I've never attempted to lift parts of ships or buildings. That wasn't my purpose.

Your purpose? To be used as, what, a guard? An enforcer?

You need to be yourself. The Force is yours to use as you wish. Lifting ships and buildings will give you control and help your concentration. It's more difficult than you might think.

An enforcer, yes.

[ Being himself is... difficult, to say the least. He's never been encouraged to be himself, always been pushed in one direction or pulled toward another. Nobody ever let Ben simply be Ben and follow his own path. ]

But I can do this. I know I can. I know I'm strong enough.

You can be so much more than that. You're a Force-user and a damn good one! No one should have any say in what you do.

I can, but a lot of what I learned to do I did on my feet. [He marks a place in De Chima on a map and sends it to him.] Go there and I'll meet you.

[ Within seconds, and without letting his roommate know where he's going, Kylo is clipping his lightsaber to his belt and headed toward the door to the location on the map.

He's still not used to this, not used to interacting with his family - his grandfather, to be specific - but he can't help the feelings of excitement mixed with a bit of fear, intimidation, so many expectations. ]
