Hey everybody, Mick here.

[ The bald man on camera is trying to be friendly but there's a part of him that's just wary -- he didn't want to have to do this but it's been a bit too long. ]

First off, if you know anybody that's hiring, lemme know. Been looking for a new job and can't really get one in the same line of work as my last one. Can't really blame 'em.

Before I came here I did lots of different kinda work but you can't really put it on a resume. Who d'you call for references? But I figured imPorts might be a bit more understanding so I'm including my previous work experience. I can include my "official" resume if you want, this is just the stuff I left out.

Gonna take a wild guess and say maybe your shit has something to do with fire powers. [ with all the fire eating and match stick stuff and glass working. mickey's brand new and not set up in any kind of business to hire for, but that usually isn't the case. he may need people at some point. ]

What's an anti-Rogue consultant supposed to be?

Lucky guess. Gonna knock out both your birds with one stone and say I used to be a Rogue -- kinda a type of supervillain -- back in the old days. You already picked up on the theme. Called myself Heat Wave. Later, long after I'd reformed I got picked up to help them take down some of the not-so-reformed Rogues. Y'know, takes a thief kinda thing.

[ He hadn't brought it up in the post itself because it's a Bad Look, but he's not going to deny it either. Better to be up front. ]

[ mickey considers the feed for a second, weighing out if this news makes this guy more or less valuable, in terms of things mickey's usually looking for, at least. ]

Why swap sides? Good guys start paying better?

Nah, but I wasn't really in it for the money.

[ He doesn't want to elaborate, though. No real comfortable way you can say "I wanted to set fires and if you put on a costume it's a gimmick not a disease," to a complete stranger.


He sighs. ]

Sometimes you hit rock bottom, kid. You end up in prison -- and you lost count on how many times it was by then -- and it don't seem worth it no more.

Could be something worth looking into, yeah. [ He says that sincerely enough, it's a decent suggestion. But he can't help himself from a smile twitching at his mouth when he adds: ] Mick Rory: mall cop.

Har de har har. Dunno if swimming's my thing, unless the swimming lessons are in the hot tub. And I kinda want my next job to let me wear a shirt for once.

Have you considered show business? I still don't have the crew for any good pyrotechnics in my shows, it's all lasers and my own illusions right now.

Didn't list it, but the job they assigned when I got here was a uh, hot yoga instructor for a tv show. [ He says that in the tone of voice that says he knows, trust him. ] Got a bit of experience from that end.

Pyrotechnics I'm pretty sure I can handle though.

You can come shadow my crew for a bit, learn the ropes and all that. I'll give you a good training wage.

I have a few outdoor shows booked too, which should allow for a little more fun and freedom in the design.

Made a mistake and didn't really fit the whole wholesome granola image anymore so they let me go.
