[The communicator comes to life with a crackle, the video showing the clean inner brick wall of a Nonah townhouse, with a man sitting in front of it, staring down at his wrist with a frown. Though no longer wearing his bright orange flight suit, Poe Dameron does, at least have eternal sexy bedhead from which he cannot escape. Given that he's posting this up after sunset on a warm summer evening?

Alright. I think I got this. Yeah, thanks for the advice, buddy. Okay. [He smiles, widely, to the camera.]

So. Imports, huh? Might be obvious I'm new here, but I have a couple favours to ask. One, can someone here tell me where to get a decent laser razor? Because I'm getting a bit grown in, if you know what I mean.

Two, I'm looking for someone. Well, someones. Finn, Rey, if you're out there, I know you can find me. But I might need the rest of you to help me find the other.

[He moves, briefly off screen for a second, and then appears again, holding up a poorly drawn crayon drawing of a little round droid.]

This is my friend, BB-8. Last thing I knew, we were together, and I need my little buddy as much as he needs me. So if any of you have seen him, let me know. He uh - apparently he might look human, now, but - well. Just keep an eye out for him, will you? I've seen some lost posters around, so I uh - made up some for BB-8. If anyone wants one, let me know. I don't want to miss him.

[There's a pause, and then Poe strokes his scratchy chin.] You know, kind of like a modified blaster only just strong enough to take the hair off your chin and leave it nice and smooth. Not that it stays smooth for long, but a man's gotta try.

[Whatever good mood the had been in was gone as soon as he saw Poe's face on the network. The drawing of the droid only made him even angrier.

If he could reach through the screen and break the pilot's neck, anything to get rid of that smug look, he would have. He had no idea how Poe had the nerve to exist when Starkiller was gone and now he was stuck on this backwater planet with him.]

A laser razor is going to be the least of your worries here, pilot.

He's one of a kind. There are other BB units, sure, but nothing like him. He's my best friend, and the best astromech you could ask for. [What a fond, beaming smile.]

Hey, I saw them all over, and thought it wouldn't be a bad idea. Besides, he'd get a kick out of them. And I made sure to include his signature move, too. [He pointed to the little blue flame of a thumb's up.]

Who knows what would have happened if they brought him here. What if they wiped his memory core? I just want to make sure he's okay.

Uh - Finn's about my height, super handsome, mostly because of his jacket, tends to furrow his brow and talk in a super serious way a lot, but will go and do a lot of dumb shit just to save his friends. Don't talk to him about Jakku, though.

Rey is - Rey. To be honest, I - I don't know her that well, but I know that if she's here, Finn can't be far behind, and if anyone came from home that I'd want on my side, it's her. Carries a giant stick around and could take you out as soon as talk to you. Gorgeous, obviously.

They're kind of the people that if you met them, you'd know.

Yeah, people have been telling me about it. It really isn't what I meant - but it's going to have to do. Why I would want to cut my face open while I shave, I have no idea, but I guess that's what happens when you end up the backward end of nowhere.
