[The video clicks on, displaying an older man in a deep blue skintight suit, the red edging of a cape draping over his shoulders. A slightly raised sinuous 'S', shaped not too much unlike a deformed pentagon is visible on his chest, the color glinting yellow in the light. With the backdrop of a modern American living room- one of the houses in De Chima, for those familiar with their style and the street outside- he doesn't look so much ill at ease as he does thoroughly out of place, and somewhat distracted for a moment, before giving his full attention to the camera.]
It came to my understanding that the majority of us are from some version or another of this planet. [The words are spoken almost wryly, given his attempt to find out where he was when he first arrived. 'Florida' as an answer isn't particularly useful when you don't know what a 'Florida' is.]
For the ones who aren't, did you know anything about 'Earth' before you did? Or was everything here new to you?
As for those of you who are, how does this world differ from your own 'Earth'?
[He isn't particularly dying to know— once was already unpleasant enough— but he's still curious and is interested in learning what others have to say to these questions. He needs to be.]

So people are not brought from necessarily equivalent eras, then. [That is actually very useful to know.]</small] Besides the lack of superpowers in your own world, is it very different from this one?

Is Earth new to you?

What kind of place is Japan? And what kind of species exists in your world that does not here?
[It sounds like a matter of ecosystem, if the two Earths are not precisely the same. Or differences of history, or any one of thousands of things Jor-El could suppose with more information and an easier time focusing right now.
There is only so much he can initially do and learn with technology he doesn't know the capabilities of, even if by Krypton's standards many of these things are simple enough that a child could make them.]

Carefully, she speaks up, blue eyes wide as they remain glued to the sight of his face. )
That's... uh. True. Multiple versions of the same planet can exist in the same space. Just vibrating at different frequencies.
And to answer your question: yes, I did. Just like you have, from that symbol you're wearing. I have a question, too: who are you? From my memory, there's only two people left who wear it, and I'm one of them.
( Did he defeat Kal (impossible, right? right??) in battle and steal the suit? )

A great amount of energy is usually required to make any sort of connection between them, and it requires control over the parameters used. [He should know. The phantom zone and the phantom drives he created require more than he thinks this planet is capable of putting out.
My name is Jor-El.
[One of two, she said. Can he hope?]

I'd not heard of Earth before I got here, although I've traveled to many, many places in the galaxy.
[Video]
I had not either, except knowing what this system consisted of. [A yellow dwarf sun, with an assortment of planets and dwarf planets, the third one possessing a Kryptonid species. Confirmation came relatively late in his arrival process.

Voice;
I am from a different planet. This is the first time I have been to Earth. [Or any planet not his own, for that matter.]
Since your earth and this one are still different worlds, differences through history would cause them to not be exactly the same. It would be stranger if the two were exactly alike, I would think.

Otherwise, the technology and look of this world is pretty much the same as mine. Twenty-first century.

A few of the big-namers like Earth and humans a lot. I think it's overhyped, though.

What do you mean by overhyped?

I knew about Earth before I got here. It's still very new though and nothing like the movies, if you see any, don't use it as a learning tool.

And there are no mutants native to this planet. The powered individuals are mostly imPorts like you or I.
The dynamics are about the same, I'd say they're less dire here than they were on my Earth.
What was yours like?
Aah I somehow managed to lose this tag I'm so sorry.
What do you mean by mutants?
it's cool!

But you seem a bit more....modernized.
[ Nice spandex, pal. ]
Are you familiar with the sort of technology found in this world?
video;
In the most technical of ways. What I've seen so far is very simple compared to what I know best.
[Archaic would be a better word, but it is put in perspective when this is highly advanced to the man he's speaking to now.]
