With the backdrop of a modern American living room- one of the houses in De Chima, for those familiar with their style and the street outside- he doesn't look so much ill at ease as he does thoroughly out of place, and somewhat distracted for a moment, before giving his full attention to the camera.]

It came to my understanding that the majority of us are from some version or another of this planet. [The words are spoken almost wryly, given his attempt to find out where he was when he first arrived. 'Florida' as an answer isn't particularly useful when you don't know what a 'Florida' is.]

For the ones who aren't, did you know anything about 'Earth' before you did? Or was everything here new to you?

As for those of you who are, how does this world differ from your own 'Earth'?

It's 2017, for one thing. My Earth's about thirty years behind, give or take. [As evidenced by her clothes, all so colorful and bright it's nearly blinding. Also, Veronica's holding up one finger, and she holds up another as she continues:] Also, we don't have superpowers.

So people are not brought from necessarily equivalent eras, then. [That is actually very useful to know.]</small] Besides the lack of superpowers in your own world, is it very different from this one?

There are places in this world that don't exist in mine, such as the Porter cities. There are also some places in my world that are missing in this one, though I can only speak about Japan. [ since that's where he's from ] The technology varies as well. I'd say they are more advanced here. Plus, there is a whole species missing in this place, which exists in mine.

What kind of place is Japan? And what kind of species exists in your world that does not here?

[It sounds like a matter of ecosystem, if the two Earths are not precisely the same. Or differences of history, or any one of thousands of things Jor-El could suppose with more information and an easier time focusing right now.

There is only so much he can initially do and learn with technology he doesn't know the capabilities of, even if by Krypton's standards many of these things are simple enough that a child could make them.]

( Well, she's struck entirely dumb here. The man's accent and likeness aren't familiar to her. But she knows that 'S.' It's emblazoned across her chest as he speaks. Who is he? Why is he wearing Kal's suit?! Kara can't fathom any answers, and it needles her. She'd seen everyone she ever knew or loved die that day. Though she could never have imagined that her parents or aunt and uncle wouldn't be able to follow her pod's trajectory if they so chose.

[Any difficulty he's had focusing before this is erased the moment he catches sight of the house of El's crest on her own clothing. His gaze grows sharper, and more closed than it had been earlier, because of her words.]

A great amount of energy is usually required to make any sort of connection between them, and it requires control over the parameters used. [He should know. The phantom zone and the phantom drives he created require more than he thinks this planet is capable of putting out.

[This face certainly isn't anything remotely human. It's more like Earth's idea of an alien with those big eyes - red in this case - no visible nose and blue skin. Oddly, though, he's wearing what amounts to a Wild West outfit and wide-brimmed hat.]

I'd not heard of Earth before I got here, although I've traveled to many, many places in the galaxy.

[Krypton still had information on the various other species they had encountered before pulling away from space travel, even though by Jor-El's time much of it is out of date to the point of being nearly useless. Still, in his quest for looking through the various planets that could be options for saving his species he's never seen any species like that.

I had not either, except knowing what this system consisted of. [A yellow dwarf sun, with an assortment of planets and dwarf planets, the third one possessing a Kryptonid species. Confirmation came relatively late in his arrival process.

Your people sound like they are proficient at space travel.

I was on Earth when I was brought here, but I'm not from Earth. The technology levels on this Earth seem to be a bit skewed from the Earth I'm familiar with, though, and there's no signs of any invasion here.

I am from a different planet. This is the first time I have been to Earth. [Or any planet not his own, for that matter.]

Since your earth and this one are still different worlds, differences through history would cause them to not be exactly the same. It would be stranger if the two were exactly alike, I would think.

And there are no mutants native to this planet. The powered individuals are mostly imPorts like you or I.

The dynamics are about the same, I'd say they're less dire here than they were on my Earth.

Compared to what I have seen and heard here so far- [-Which, admittedly, isn't very much, but what little he has has been telling in its own way-] -you would likely consider the society I came from restrictive and closed off. The roles we're expected to fulfill are decided before birth. [Nothing like here, if the very short speech and pamphlet he was given upon arrival were any indication.]

For me, as far as I am aware, Earth does not exist in my universe. So when I arrived here, I was entirely at a loss. My world is...dramatically medieval by comparison.

In the most technical of ways. What I've seen so far is very simple compared to what I know best.
