[versusseeker]

[The feed opens up to a young man - rather solemn-looking - in a red hat. There is what some may consider to be a rather strange-looking creature perched upon his shoulder, blinking curiously into the camera along with its trainer.]

Pika-pi?

[It's the little yellow thing that is the first one to make a sound, earning it a small scratch behind the ears from the man in the hat. He looks back to the camera then, tilting his head to the side a bit and, in a soft voice - barely more than a mumble - addressing the network:]

Where are all the Pokémon?

[He's new.]

Hey Slowpoke! You finally showed up, huh? [Blue grins ear to ear. Let him be happy, okay.] Hahaha, always last, even to the crappy new region! Well whatever, there's no Pokémon here anyway.

[A familiar face pokes into the feed- and Arcanine starts barking madly.]

[Oh. So, Blue is here too. Watch as not even a flicker of surprise passes across Red's face. In response to the other man's jeering, he simply raises his hand and tilts it in a small wave.

[When that "no Pokémon" bit hits him, however, you'll see a small wrinkle in his brow.]

No Pokémon?

[Another quick wave - this one to Arcanine - but Red doesn't seem too focused on it.

[He must have heard Blue wrong.]

None! Not even a Rattata, can you believe it? [Blue's brow wrinkles, chin in hand.] Other than trained ones. You got your Pokéballs, don't you?

[Arcanine keeps barking, wriggling happily to see a familiar face until Blue pushes his snout away.] Okay, okay! Jeez, chill out, will you? Hey loser, what city are you in? I'll Fly over after I'm done training. [Sorry Red, training regiment is more important. And uh, work.]

[archie doens't have any of his pokémon with him presently; instead, he's sitting outside. there's something at the bottom of the frame, but it's impossible to tell what. looks like a... bidoof? a weirdly shaped lopunny? arceus only knows.]

Different world, different rules. No Pokémon.

[he knows who red is-- who doesn't? archie is wearing his aqua bandana and doesn't really care if red recognises him.]

[No Pokémon - so he's heard. But if that's the case, then what is that sitting at the bottom of Archie's feed--

[Wait a minute. That headband...

[Suddenly, Red's eyes darken, his already solemn expression only growing more serious. When he speaks, his voice comes out flat and cold.]

Team Aqua.

No Pokémon here. I mean, you can try looking at whatever passes for a Gamestop here, see if they have it for DS.

[Red tilts his head to the side a bit. He doesn't know what a Gamestop is, but they did have the DS in his world. Still, what does that have to do with Pokémon? He isn't looking for a video game, he's looking for. Well. Pokémon. You know. Like real ones?]

[Come on, Cisco. Say it ain't so. You'll break the poor guy's heart.]

[it looks really goddamn cool and she definitely didn't see anything like it at the zoo she went to.]

[Hm? Red glances to his Pikachu who is now tilting its head to the side, watching the girl on the other side of the feed just as intently as she seems to be watching it.

[That's right. If there are no Pokémon here, then that must mean that some of the people here don't even know what a Pokémon is. As mind-blowing as that might be to Red, he's certainly willing to educate - even if that means he'll have to do a bit of talking.]

It's a Pokémon.

Pika-pi! [Tell her my name, Red.]

[Ok so he hasn't quite put two and two together yet because the Red he knows has black hair. Yay, timelines.]

[Well, that was rude. But Red doesn't look too affronted by it.

[So, this kid is from the Pokémon world too, huh?]

[Nike's attention will be mainly on the cute Pokemon (which she thinks it may be one) over the other boy's shoulders. Guess who hasn't even noticed him once? She'll just be gawking over the pokemon before giving him a happy sigh. It was clear she though the yellow pokemon with red cheeks was just the cutest thing she has ever seen.]

Pika-pi? I-Is that your name?

[Yes, her question was asked to the creature in question. It won't be long until a ball of white will appear onto her shoulder, after jumping from wherever it was before, glaring at the creature on the screen. Nike will grow startle by it's sudden appearance over her.]

H-Hey! Give some warning next time... [Some glaring contest will be given before her attention returns to the video once more.] ....kinda wish my pup was as well-behaved as your Pika-pi.... [A warning growl will be given for that one which will have her saying "yeah, yeah, whatever" under her breath.]

[versusseeker]

[Don't worry, Nike. Once that creature appears on your shoulder, Red won't be paying very much attention to you either. He's been told that there aren't Pokémon in this world, but that certainly looks like one. Maybe it's one of these "animals" he's heard so much about? If that's the case, then it may give him an opportunity to try out his new power - "Creature Communication", or so he'd been told; the ability to communicate telepathically with animals and other creatures. It seems to be working on Pokémon so far. So he'll give it a shot with Nike's little friend, there.

[Hey, buddy. Can you hear me?

[Pikachu, on the other hand, will be reveling in Nike's attention, ignoring her little pet's growling and making as many cute chirps and ear twitches as it can muster.]

[Angela for a moment just stares and covers her mouth as she mutters something.]

More pokemon? This has to be one of the best days to happen here. What is that cuties name on your shoulder?

You've also no doubt been told that there are no pokemon in this world. Except the ones already belonging to those from your world.

[versusseeker]

[Red nods and you aren't mistaking if you notice a bit of sadness in his expression. No Pokémon? He still can't believe it. But, at the very least, he's always happy to introduce his Pikachu, who is happy to soak up Angela's attention with a cute chirp and a smile.]

Pika-pi!

[Red gives it another small scratch on the head.]

This is Pikachu.

[Red simply nods while his Pikachu leans in closer toward the camera, tilting its head to the side and giving a curious chirp.]

I'm certain everyone already told you by now, there are no pokemon. Unless they came along with someone.

[Red nods, and it isn't hard to see the disappointment on his face - more than disappointment, actually. Pokémon are this guy's life. He can't imagine being without them - thank Arceus he still has his team, at least. And especially Pikachu, who you might see eyeing you curious, its little ears twitching.]

[You'll see a flicker of a smile on Red's lips.

[As for his Pikachu, well. It'll be soaking up all the attention it can get, letting out a cheerful:]

[What a ham. But Red doesn't seem to mind - he's a fan as well.]

[ Listen, the rat thing is weird. Iwai's not gonna deny that. He's been here just long enough, however, to have figured out that maybe it's easier to just accept that sometimes things are weird. So. After silently staring at Pikachu for about. a second. he moves on. ]

[The trainer blinks, perhaps a bit perplexed by the question - his affect, however, remains relatively flat as he nods.

[Sorry, Iwai. Were you expecting a little more than that?]

[ and as she says that, a plusle pops up from behind her shoulder! it's almost a mirror image. ]

[Another trainer? Red perks up considerably at this - well, more so at the sight of May's Plusle than anything. Meanwhile, Pikachu is perking up at her attention - practically sparkling under it.

[Red peels his eyes away from the little creature on May's shoulder long enough to give a soft:]

[Now, time to keep testing his powers on that other little electric rodent.

[Hey, buddy. Can you hear me?]
