I'm pretty sure I had a dream like this once. Except my superpower was more useful.

In any case, if I'm stuck here for the time being I'd just as soon have a job I enjoy. Dealing cards is entertaining enough, but you might say cybersecurity is my calling.

How difficult is it, to get a good job here without a resume, or references, or any of the usual things that you would need to get a job? Are the natives here - or other imports, for that matter - willing to take a chance and trust we're telling the truth about our experience and education? It's not like a prospective employer can run a traditional background check on us.

Just curious.

that makes things easier for you, as far as I know they only want you to get an official license if you're a doctor or a lawyer or something like those

if you're a freelance cybersecurity guy they're more likely to take you at your word

Tests, I can do. Exploitation does seem all too easy, however.

Some of them. There are always people who are too trusting, though. Guess that leaves it to the ones they trust not to betray them.

Yeah. Or just go out of your way to be nice. But if you can get away with seeming like a local, might be of more help.

That being said, I do know a place with some pretty imPort friendly locals. Not sure about cybersecurity, but card dealing for sure, and I'm sure someone might be able to help hook you up with something better.

I don't know if the same can be said for this "poker," but in sabacc, half the game is reading your opponent's face to tell what's in their hand.
