VOICE ┼ ’cause Lennon’s on sale again
Here's a great way to pass those free hours you don't know how to fill:
Bring me one of these posters with Persephone on it, I'll sing some lyrics right in your face. Live. If you don't know why that's totally worth it, ask someone who's been to one of my shows.

I've heard enough songs from you and yours, I think.

Gosh, how come everybody wants to bring me these posters for free? It's enough to make someone think they're not wanted.

[ And given she asked about Persephone ... yes, he's certain she's the same version, give or take. ]

Of course I have literally no idea who you are, so maybe before we move on to the cute nicknames we should get past the "hey you" phase.

[ If this were video, he'd make a sarcastic little bow over his comm. ]
I'm Lord Miles Naismith Vorkosigan, Ambassador of Nonah. Or just Miles, really.

Nice to meet you, Miles. What'd you do to piss off Persephone?
no subject
Got mad at you for existing, mostly.
no subject
[Okay. This could go any number of ways depending on the details.]
Me in particular, or is this The-Divine-You? Meaning everyone like me.

But I'm the Devil. Of course I think it's unreasonable. The sane man rejects the ultimate symbol of evil and corruption, right? Maybe you should trust your first instinct.
no subject
I did that last time. And lost an arm because of it.
[ Thanks, Inanna. ]

That's ironic-- play it safe and lose an arm. First I've ever heard of that.
Sounds like this is more serious than I thought. Generally I really don't care what people do as long as they don't actively get into my hair. But points to you, Lord Miles, you have balls to respond to this throwaway request after tangling with a god.

It's traditional at this point. And as I'd prefer to keep my remaining arm, I felt it prudent to say something rather than find out how you feel about it later.
no subject
About you keeping your arm? I'm in favor of it, to be honest. Taking somebody's arm off sounds like a lot of effort, especially if you're just going to chime in on whatever I say no matter what I do.

[ But he is relaxing a bit, despite himself. Amazing how not coming at someone like they're a homicidal maniac doesn't lead to an immediate fight. ]

[What makes Inanna that mad? Luci is one thousand percent sure she never wants to know.]

They were under the influence of something at the time, near as I can ell.
no subject
Well. That's somehow comforting, I guess. I mean. You never want to hear that someone was killed by a hamster. And that's basically what I'm envisioning here.
