[When the video clicks on, Terry can be seen sitting on a couch with Ace sitting beside him, the large dog's head in Terry's lap. The teen is trying his best to maintain his composure, but the worry all over his face is clear.]

I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone know Matt McGinnis? Could... anyone tell me if he's gone?

[Of course, Terry already knows the truth, that his little brother went home in the two months he apparently missed here, but he doesn't want to believe it.

There's a pause as Terry absently scratches the Great Dane's chin.]

...Probably not the best way to start a video after a two month disappearance, huh? My name's Terry McGinnis, and this here's Ace. We got here about a year ago, and due to some "porter glitch" or something, we've been gone for the past two months apparently. So uh, hi again, I guess.

[Several emotions cycle through his face before Terry plasters on a weak smile.]

If anyone has any good ideas for a distraction right now, I could really use it.

Don't worry about it. You aren't the first pretty, popular girl to be insulted I bumped into them. Most of them don't apologize once, let alone twice.

[ Ok, that gets her to laugh a little and look even a touch bewildered. ]

I don't know about all of that. But, ok. Deal.

[ And, a bit more softer now. ]

I hope everything, I don't know, works out for you. It sucks the whole... disappearing thing. But I mean, distractions and surrounding yourself with other people and things helps.

[Terry gives her a kind of lopsided smirk.]

Oh come on now, that can't be the first time you've heard that.

[A small shrug.]

I could use someone to introduce me to a hot apple cider.

Well whenever you need someone to, I'm pretty good at mixing a cinnamon stick in with it.

[ Pausing shortly ]

And I don't make it too hot either. Just right.

Any other rules I should note, Goldilocks? Like maybe not steal the cider from some bears?

[He grins to show he's just joking.]

[ It takes her a second before she smiles a little back to him. So funny, Terry. ]

Probably also a good idea. Besides, I hear they like honey more.

I dunno, I have it from a pretty reliable source that they prefer porridge.

This reliable source visits bears often?

Just the once. She learned her lesson pretty quickly.

Personally, I don't think she should have gone into a bear's house in the first place, but then again no one claimed she had brains.
